However, when placing your qualifying bet, make sure that you do not settle the bet provisionally via cashout. The bottom line is that my experience with the bwin bonus is rather sobering. Although this is a risk-free offer, the winning opportunities are drastically limited and are therefore not comparable with other new customer offers from our large sports betting comparison.

VIP & Loyalty Programme

One trend that bwin has unfortunately missed over the years is to set up a sensible VIP and loyalty program. For years, customers have had problems with bwin’s existing loyalty program, b’inside. Thanks to b’inside, you were rewarded with loyalty points for your constant wagers and bets, but unfortunately there was a lack of attractive rewards.

Due to the ongoing problems and criticism from customers, bwin has decided to finally end its loyalty program in October 2019. Neither can you receive loyalty points for your betting slips, nor will you be rewarded in any other form for your loyalty and activity. This does not only apply to regular customers, but also to the high rollers among you. bwin does offer some regular bonus offers on its website, but a classic loyalty program is not expected in the near future. In recent years, it has been more common for soccer matches to be abandoned. A common reason for this is fans storming the pitch or rioting in the stadium. But the weather can also throw a spanner in the works of a soccer match. In case of senseless rainfall, a normal flow of the game is no longer possible. It is relatively rare, but nevertheless possible, for a match to be abandoned if one team receives four red cards. If there are less than eight players on the pitch, the match is over. The bookmaker has therefore clearly formulated the bwin match abandonment in its GTC. Precisely, it states:

“If a match is abandoned for any reason, all bets are void, unless the highest possible amount that can be bet on has already been reached at the time of abandonment.”

So basically all bets are canceled. With the second part of the sentence, the betting provider means that bets already settled at the time of the match cancellation will still be settled. There is an exception to the rule if the game is resumed within 72 hours. Then your bet will still stand. This happened, for example, in the 2013/2014 – Season . In the Champions League match between Galatasaray Istanbul and Juventus Torino, a snowstorm caused an interruption after 30 minutes. The match was resumed the following day. All bets therefore remained valid.

Certain special rules apply to bets on the goal scorer (first or last goal). If the player you bet on does not participate in the match, you will get your money back. However, your betting slip remains valid if your player is substituted, for example. Exception: You bet on the first goal scorer and he is not yet on the pitch at the first goal. Then he had no chance to score the first goal, which is why you can cancel the bwin bet.

What happens if a tennis match is abandoned?
The bwin rules in tennis are very similar to those in soccer and are also quite simple. Bets are always valid if the match is started in regulation. Quote:

A special situation arises when the surface is changed during a tournament (for example, indoor play instead of clay court). If even one point was played on the regular surface, all bets remain valid. If the tournament or a match is moved before the first point is played, the bet is void.
