A post has surfaced on Diablo 4’s Reddit forum showing that Blizzard has sent some players a poll. The poll is about what kind of game pack (i.e. game + reward X, Y or Z) they would prefer in Diablo 4 and how much users would be willing to spend on it. After the experience with the mobile offshoot Diablo Immortal, all alarm bells immediately rang for Diablo players.

However, as a list of possible variants for microtransactions shows, only cosmetic items are available for selection. In addition, Blizzard’s Community Lead for Diablo 4, Rod Fergusson, has already repeatedly clarified on Twitter, that it is Diablo 4 store items should not be about gameplay content. Respondents will be offered different combinations of rewards, split between three different full versions of the game. The different prices can be safely ignored and, just like the rewards themselves, have not been determined yet. According to the developers, different players will be shown different prices.

Rewards such as transmog sets, a horse including different armors and a back ornament (like wings in Diablo 3) are in the room. The currency that can be used to buy the items in this survey is called Platinum. This can be used to purchase current and future store items. As we can see from the list of items, they are actually only cosmetic items, although in an ARPG they are of course interesting for players.

Battle Pass and early access planned?

A Battle Pass and early access also appear in the list of possible packages. The description for the early access says that you can may play a few days before the official release. The Battle Pass gives access to premium rewards over playing (probably achievements). Also with the Battle Pass, it is once again emphasized that these are exclusively cosmetic rewards.

From some leaks, we already know that similar to Diablo 3, a cross-promotion seems to be planned again for World of Warcraft.
