Heroes Dota 2 – Phantom Lancer

Heroes (Dota 2)

The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.

Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an boss opponent. The Dueling Fates announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.

Phantom Lancer: “Deep waters still run!”

Azwraith, the Phantom Lancer, is an hero from DotA and Dota 2. The Phantom Lancer is a Radiant melee hero and features, among other things, the largest agility increase in the game. In the game, he can take on the role of a Carry, Escaper, and Pusher. With his first ability Spirit Lance, Phantom Lancer can throw a magical lance at an opponent who is damaged, slowed, and attacked by a doublewalk of Phantom Lancer. With double walk, Phantom Lancer can make himself invisible and increase his movement speed. In doing so, he himself is replaced by one of his doppelgangers, who can take his place and allow him to escape from dangerous situations more easily. Through his passive ability Juxtapose, the Phantom Lancer gains the ability to automatically create doubles of himself when attacked. However, all of the Phantom Lancer’s doubles deal less damage and can take less damage themselves. Phantom Lancer’s Ultimate Phantom Edge is also a passive ability. It increases Azwraith’s magic resistance, the likelihood of his doubles appearing, and sometimes makes them appear as well. His Ultimate cannot be improved with Aghanim’s Scepter.

Phantom Lancer- Hype

Phantom Lancer overruns enemy forces with an endless supply of clones. While leading his illusionary army, he can dismember enemies in stunning attacks, send clones forward into enemy territory, or use his doppelgangers to mislead and escape his foes if he is cornered.

Phantom Lancer- Biography

“In the remote village of Pole, people knew nothing of the war raging in the heart of the kingdom. For the villagers, the tranquility of spearfishing and a meal with the family was all their hearts desired. Nevertheless, war found its way here as well. As a band of sturdy recruits passed the homes of his village, a simple lancer named Azwraith joined them, vowing to bring peace to the kingdom and his homeland. Along with his own, he formed the vanguard for the decisive attack on Dread Magus Vorn. An attack that would exact tribute. While the main force led the fight against the stronghold, Azwraith was the only survivor of his men and he alone made it behind the walls of the enemy. Fueled by the blood of his brothers, Azwraith defeated every deadly trap and summoned guard. Soon the simple fisherman’s man stood in the sanctuary of Vorn’s Tower. Lance against staff, the duel lasted all night as chaos raged among them until Azwraith stabbed his opponent with a deafening scream. But the sorcerer did not die a simple death, his body shattered into countless splinters of light, piercing his vanquisher with magical power. After the dust settled and the smoke of battle cleared, Azwraith found himself standing among his own. Each seemed to wear the same armor, the same weapons as he, and he sensed that they shared his thoughts as well. Becoming aware of the approaching allies, he ordered the spirits to hide and gradually they faded beyond recognition. When the soldiers reached the sanctuary, they found the warrior who had defeated the sorcerer. But when they approached him, he disappeared. The lancer who stood before them was just another ghost.”
