Team Secret is a European multi-gaming organization. Initially, Secret was organized by professional Dota 2 players, but over time they evolved from a simple team to real multigaming. The organization currently has rosters in Dota 2, Rainbow Six: Siege, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. In this article, we would like to invite you to familiarize yourself with the formation of the Dota 2 roster.

founding of the association

As mentioned above, Team Secret was developed by professional Dota 2 players. The idea of ​​creating such a team was born in 2014 after The International 2014. The creation of the club was first considered by then-players Natus Vincere Kuroky and Puppey, as well as the Fnatic N0tail captain. After discussing the possibility of teaming up, the Dota Legends unveiled the first secret roster on August 27, 2014.

First composition

After the announcement of the first Team Secret roster, many named this team as one of the contenders for the subsequent TI Championship. The first cast included:

First results

After forming the team, the five competed in a number of TOP tournaments. At ESL One New York 2014, the team finished 3-4. line, 2nd place in StarLadder StarSeries – Season 10 and 2nd place in The Summit 2.

In late 2014, Team XMG won Captains Draft 2.0 and Dota Pit League – Season 2. However, a good end to the year did not help keep the roster. In 2015, N0tail left the team and Fly also left the team with him. Former Arteezy and Zai take their place on the team. This breakdown by Secret includes all performances up to and including The International 2015. Before TI5, the team showed excellent results: The team won at Red Bull Battle Grounds: Dota 2, The Summit 3, MarsTV Dota 2 League 2015 Spring, ESL One Frakfurt 2015. In June, the team placed 5th-6th in the Dota Pit League – Season 3 and at the International 2015 itself, they sensationally finished 7th-8th. After that, the next changes in the composition began.

Search for the optimal composition

Puppey, Team Secret’s captain from the first roster, continued to search for the optimal recruiting option for the team. After failing at TI5, he was the only one left in the squad. The team already presented a new roster at the Frankfurt Major 2015. Then the roster included EternaLEnVy, w33, MISERY and pieliedie. With this line-up, the team finished second at the Frankfurt Major itself and went on to win the 2016 Shanghai Major. However, after failing at TI 2016, the team once again faced changes.

The following year, Team Secret didn’t show many results and at TI 2017 they again failed to show their maximum. This lineup included MP, MidOne, KheZu, YapzOr and Puppey.

After TI 2017, Ace and Fata joined the roster. With this squad, the team managed to win in the 8th and 9th – Season s of the DreamLeague. However, at The International 2018, the team did not reach the top and finished 5th-6th. After TI 2018, the true renaissance of Team Secret begins

Formation of the “machine” in the European region

Although Team Secret showed “average” results at TI 2018, Puppey had no intention of stopping. In 2019, zai returns to Team Secret, bringing one of the most promising players, Nisha, to the team. As part of Nisha, MidOne, Zai, YapzOr and Puppey, the team wins The Chongqing Major and MDL Disneyland Paris Major.

At The International 2019, the team takes 4th place, which is the highest result for a day.

After The International 2019, MidOne leaves the team and MATUMBAMAN takes his place. Almost immediately, in January 2020, Team Secret won the last offline tournament before the start of the coronavirus pandemic – DreamLeague – Season 13. 4 months later, in May, the team will start its victorious march across the region and will not give its opponents a chance until October 2020 .

In the period from May 2020 to October, Secret won 8 championships and the team finishes all finals with a 3-0. The secret procession was stopped by Team Liquid at ESL One Germany 2020. There, the Puppey team stopped at the fourth line for the first time in a long time.

Since the team’s inception in 2014, the organization’s Dota 2 roster has brought over $11,400,000 in prize money.
