Many players are complaining about slow progress in the new – Season 2 Battle Pass of Call of Duty: Warzone. Even after many hours, some players have made little progress. There is probably a solution to the problem, but not everyone will like it.
This is what it’s all about:
- On February 14, – Season 2 launched in Call of Duty: Warzone and brought a new Battle Pass
- The pass can be purchased for €10 and gives you more than 100 items in exchange for game time
- But the new Battle Pass stresses players in Warzone: Some have only progress at ketchup speed – the solution probably brings the old CoDs
Is the Battle Pass broken in – Season 2?
On the discussion platform reddit, players are discussing the Battle Pass of – Season 2 in a large thread. Within 19 hours, the topic collected almost 300 comments.
The thread creator “mutatedllama” chose as headline: “1 hour play = 1/3 Battle Pass level” and apparently addressed many CoD colleagues with that.
Dozens of players report in detail how much they played and what progress was made. Call of Duty: Vanguard also seems to be affected by the problem.
There is a lot of frustration to be read from this:
Thus, ColdPeasMyGooch writes: “I AM ALSO Frustrated! It’s not just Warzone, it’s the same in Vanguard. […] I used a 2XP token to be able to see any progress at all.”
Battle Pass veteran tmac416 is also sure something has been changed, “I don’t know what they did with it. Have always gotten Battle Pass full since release, but something is definitely wrong now.”
Other commenters claim that the slow progress at the beginning of a – Season is normal. CoD has been doing this for a while now and you should wait a few weeks for XP rates to return to normal.
However, no one presents evidence for such a theory.
The Battle Pass has its problems in – Season 2.
Do all players have this problem? Now it gets a bit curious – because there are also some players reporting in the thread who can’t reproduce the problem.
nola_mike thinks the progress is fine, saying “I played just under 2 hours of Caldera Collision last night and got from 20 to 26”.
FritsfromHolland can’t see a difference either, “Played some Warzone and Rebirth yesterday. Maybe like 5 hours. Battle Pass is now at level 20 or so. To me it doesn’t feel like it’s running slower.”
Will it stay that way now? If there is indeed a problem with the Battle Pass progress, the developers don’t have it on their radar yet.
Currently, it is therefore impossible to say for sure whether there are problems or everything is actually quite normal.
However, since players report different experiences, this is an indication of a bug in Warzone and possibly also in Vanguard. Then a fix is coming for sure.
How can I work around the problem now? If you also feel like your Battle Pass progress isn’t going anywhere, but you want to level up the pass quickly, then you obviously need to switch games.
In the older CoD parts where you can level up the Battle Pass, I guess it’s business as usual. In Cold War and CoD MW 2019, the pass fills up quickly. There are many comments in the reddit thread that confirm this.
Free-to-play players of Warzone, however, have none of this. Feel free to post in the comments if you have similar concerns with Battle Pass.
However, at least weapon XP progress is going up fast for the start of – Season 2: CoD Warzone has new method for leveling weapons – “Delete this before the developers see it”
