WoW: TBC Classic – all flying and mounts of Outland

If becomes The Burning Crusade Classic in the (hopefully) near future, then not only can we acquire new licenses for the riding skill, but we can also earn numerous new mounts in Outland. In this large overview we present you the flying and riding animals of the “The Burning Crusade” era.

There’s a good chance Blizzard officials will officially announce Burning Crusade Classic servers at BlizzCon Online on February 19th. There are at least more than enough indications for this . One of the most drastic innovations of the first WoW expansion is certainly the introduction of flying. How excited the community was about this at the end of 2006 is shown by a buffed article from back then with the headline ” Burning Crusade – Beta: We’ve spotted the first flying mounts! ” and the numerous comments below the message.

In this special for TBC Classic, we want to introduce you to the various mounts and flying animals that celebrated their premiere with Outland at the time. Surely many of you already have one or the other animal in mind that should definitely be in the stable with TBC Classic. Before listing all TBC mounts, there is a brief overview of the TBC changes or innovations that affect flying or riding in Azeroth.

Flying and riding in TBC – this is new
With the TBC era, two new riding and flying licenses came into play. For normal flying and a suitable mount you have to invest a total of 900 gold. If you don’t feel like crawling through the new zones, you have to spend 5,000 gold for the fast flight license and another 200 gold pieces for a corresponding mount. The only exception: at level 68, druids learn a new flight form that allows them to fly through the air. Other innovations/changes implemented over the course of the first expansion:

With patch 2.1, druids received a new quest line for the epic flight form. Anyone who is doing or has done the quest line may summon the boss Anzu in the Sethekk Halls (Heroic) (chance of the Raven Lord mount)
Starting in Patch 2.1, you can complete the Netherwing faction questline and earn a Netherdrake mount.
As of patch 2.1.2, druids in flight form can no longer pick herbs.
From patch 2.4.3 normal mounts are available from level 30, the training costs 35 gold.

What is WoW Classic?

is a true recreation of the original WoW as you know it from 2006. All parts of the game – from combat mechanics and talent trees to character models and zones – have been recreated, contributing to the authentic experience.

Getting Started

All players with an active World of Warcraft subscription or game time on their accounts have access toWoW Classic at no additional cost.

  1. Open the Blizzard Battle.net Desktop App and select World of Warcraft from the menu.
  2. Select World of Warcraft Classic from the Version menu. If you have more than one World of Warcraft account, you’ll see a second Account drop-down list. In this column, select the active account you want to play with.
  3. Click the Install button. The progress bar will tell you when your game is ready to play.
  4. Click the Play button when the installation is complete.

You will need to select the realm you want to play on from several different realm types. Make sure you choose the same realm as your friends – in World of Warcraft Classic, you can only group with characters that are on the same realm as you!
