WoW Guide: The Nexus

In the west of the Borean tundra lies the island of Kaltarra. There, the magical nexus extends to the clouds. The blue dragonflight, led by Malygos, has found its home here. The bridge to the mainland is destroyed, but the friendly wizards of Dalaran offer you their help.

The Nexus

The adventurers arrive near the entrance instance via the flight point at the amber seam. The usual group composition of tank, healer and damage dealer of level 70 to 73 makes sense here as well. The nexus is mostly filled with dragons. A druid with his hibernation ability makes the exploration even more pleasant. In terms of difficulty, the instance is slightly above Utgarde Castle, but no special equipment is required.

The tasks of the Kirin’Tor

The entrance to the Nexus is located in the deep vaults of the huge tower. Before entering it, however, it is advisable to first complete the quest series in the Kirin’Tor base camp in Coldarra. At the end, the mages offer you four quests for the Nexus. Archmage Berinand wants you to use an interdimensional restorer in the Nexus to seal an interdimensional rift. He also wants five shards of crystalline protectors to roam the instance. Depending on the faction, Librarian Serrah wants Berinand’s research reports back, which a group of Horde or Alliance members stole. Finally, you have the task of putting Keristrasza to rest.

Magic Obstacles

Right at the beginning of the nexus, you’ll be spoiled for choice. You can choose between the left and the right passage. The middle passage leads to the room with the final boss, who, however, still slumbers deep in the chilly ice. In the end, it doesn’t matter which path you choose, as you will have made a tour of the instance at the end, which ends with the final battle. If you choose the left path, however, you can avoid some standard enemies. It leads the group through an icy tunnel, where you’ll encounter dragon guardians. They appear one after another and exert silence effects on you for five seconds.

Fire and Frost

At the next intersection, choose the left turn again. The mage hunter patrols with their demonic companions are quite unpleasant. Kill the two dogs first, as they also harass the healers with silence effects. The mage hunters will occasionally place a frost trap under a player. Fireballs and rain as well as ice bolts and arcane explosions are also part of their repertoire. Then your party will pass through a room with frozen Alliance or Horde warriors. As you approach them, they come to life and attack. Interrupt the clerics’ healing and dodge the commander’s whirlwind. You should be careful not to engage too many enemies at once. Among the enemies you will find the chest with Berinand’s investigation report. After the room, you will encounter more groups of magic hunters. You will find them on your rightGreat Magistrix Telestra .
