The old Barlo outside Shattrath was until now the only fishing specialist who gave one of five tasks to adventure-hungry anglers. With Marcia Balzer in Dalaran, he now has competition and is unlikely to get too many visitors in the future. That’s because Marcia sends ambitious fellow anglers to five different locations in Northrend to find dangerous bloodtooth frenzies, ghost fish or even a severed arm. As a reward, you get a sack full of fished treasures , in which you can find real jewels along with useless junk. What to look out for in the quests, where exactly you have to cast your fishing rod and what rewards await you, you can read in the next sections.
The Ghost Fish
The phantom ghost fish holds a previously unexplored secret that you may uncover. A relative of the
alchemist’s favorite Pygmy Shipholder, it hides among the shipholders in the Sholazar Basin. Fly to the river fork to search for him directly on the spot in the lake. If he has taken the bait, you must act quickly, as you only have a few seconds before he disappears. Eat the fish and become invisible yourself for a short time. As a reward for uncovering the secret, Marcia in Dalaran will give you a sack full of caught treasures.
Pearl of the sewers
Diligent fishermen already know that in the Dalaran sewers there is not only junk floating in the water, but also a very rare pet: the giant sewer rat. Recently there are also undiscovered jewels in the sewers. Marcia Balzer wants you to find one of the jewels with the help of your fishing skills. So go to the sewers and cast your bait in the murky broth. After a few tries, Corroded Jewelry dangles from the hook, for which you’ll receive another bag full of fished treasures.
Dangerously delicious
Since patch 3.1 it is possible to fish in the lakes of Thousand Winter and only there you can find Dread Fish e. You have to collect ten of these fish for Marcia Balzer and deliver them unharmed to Dalaran. Make sure that you don’t start this task during the ongoing battle for the fortress. Because then your trip will certainly not be without problems.
Blood is thicker
Blood tooth frenzy s are needed for a recipe to heal infected wounds and cavort only in the ponds of the borean tundra. However, it takes a rather unconventional bait to catch the nimble little animals. The only way to attract them and hook them is to leave a pool of blood in the water. So kill a wild animal beforehand to smear yourself with its blood and get the debuff called “Animal Blood”. The mammoths of the Borean Tundra are a good choice because of their proximity to Lake Kum’uya. Run into the water to wash the blood off your clothes. In the resulting pool of blood you can now fish for five Frenzys. Give them to Marcia in Dalaran and you will receive a mysterious bag with random rewards.
A monster belly appetite
During a deep-sea fishing trip, a boat has capsized and a crew member’s arm has been severed by a hungry monster belly. Find the arm in time for it to be reattached. Since this species of fish prefers the waters of the frozen sea, head to the far edge of the southern sea. Land your flying animal on an ice floe and throw your fishing rod into the water. It doesn’t matter if you are fishing in a school of fish or not. After a few tries, you’ll hook a bloated monster belly fish that contains the boatman’s arm. Now travel quickly to the “First Aid” station in Dalaran . It is located in the craftsmen’s quarter. Give the arm to the kind Olisarra. She will reward you abundantly and then devote herself to the poor sailor.

Getting Started
All players with an active World of Warcraft subscription or game time on their accounts have access toWoW Classic at no additional cost.
- Open the Blizzard Battle.net Desktop App and select World of Warcraft from the menu.
- Select World of Warcraft Classic from the Version menu. If you have more than one World of Warcraft account, you’ll see a second Account drop-down list. In this column, select the active account you want to play with.
- Click the Install button. The progress bar will tell you when your game is ready to play.
- Click the Play button when the installation is complete.
You will need to select the realm you want to play on from several different realm types. Make sure you choose the same realm as your friends – in World of Warcraft Classic, you can only group with characters that are on the same realm as you!
