Apparently, the developers like the affixes for the raids introduced in the 4th – Season of WoW: Shadowlands. Because starting with the upcoming ID (Wednesday, September 14), we can struggle with two affixes at the same time in the raid if we wish.
Last weekend, another battle between the two most successful WoW guilds of the past years took place as part of a charity event. Liquid and Echo competed against each other in various Shadowlands raids and collected a large amount of donations for various projects.
Since the well-known raids were hardly challenging for the top guilds anymore, they were artificially made more difficult by several factors. Guilds had to answer trivia questions in between, with various obstacles attached to the results. For example, players had to fight without trinkets or zoom the camera all the way into first-person perspective – the fewer questions that were correct, the more players were affected.

In addition, all raid bosses had two affixes instead of one. This meant that players had to play considerably more attentively. However, there were also two bonuses that reinforced each other. And that’s exactly what we can expect from the upcoming ID (14.9) also on the live servers of WoW (buy now ): Shadowlands.
Two or one – the choice is yours
Instead of one affix, the bosses in Castle Nathria, which is the upcoming ID of the Fateful Raid, will then have two affixes. But only if you want them to. You must actively choose to activate the second affix. How exactly this works is still unclear. But probably the console at the beginning of each raid has something to do with it.
Don’t worry, the rest of the restrictions will not apply on the live servers, of course.

Whether this will make raids easier or harder remains to be seen. Depending on the affix combination, the whole thing can probably get pretty tricky. But on the other hand, having two bonuses at the same time will probably make different phases a lot easier. However, it’s good that Blizzard leaves us the free choice and doesn’t dictate anything.
