When is the release of FIFA23 planned? How much will the game cost? Is there already a trailer? Which star will decorate the cover? And above all: What are the new features? There are some questions about the next edition of the title from #EASports, but the publisher has not revealed much yet. Here you get the most important information.
FIFA 23: When is the release?
The release date of FIFA 23 has not been officially announced yet, but relatively safe guesses can be made based on past releases. Last time the soccer simulation was always released on a Friday at the end of September to the beginning of October, a similar release will probably happen this year.
Therefore, it is not unlikely that FIFA 23 will be released on Friday, September 23, or on Friday, September 30. Moreover, pre-orders will probably allow you to play the game a few days earlier again.
FIFA 23: Who will be the cover star?
Also, unfortunately, it is not yet known which player will adorn the cover of the new FIFA version. In the last two years PSG star Kylian Mbappe lent his face to the franchise, so it could well be that the Frenchman is back in the game.
If this is not the case, of course, we can only speculate, because EA has not revealed any information in this regard either. A hot candidate is certainly the future Manchester City star Erling Haaland.
FIFA 23: What are the editions and what is their price?
No exact information is known about the price either, but since there hasn’t been much change in the past years, this will probably be the case for FIFA 23 as well. This is how the prices would look like:

FIFA 23: Why does EA Sports change the name to EA Sports FC?
This year, the video game series still bears its usual name, but from next year, things will look different. Electronic Arts and FIFA have recently announced that their cooperation will end in the future. So there will be no FIFA 24 from EA, instead EA Sports FC will be the new name of the series.
What the reasons for this are, is not officially known – however, a probable reason is, as so often, the money. According to the New York Times FIFA wants to demand up to 300 million US dollars (a good 285 million euros) for licenses from 2023 – twice as much as currently. So it could well be that EA was simply not prepared to pay this high sum.
