PoGO – Pokémon Go: The magnificent Nebulak – Special Research Guide

For Community Day in July 2020 in Pokémon Go, the developers of the AR game are unleashing Nebulak on the community. Not only will Nebulak increasingly appear in the wild, but for 0.99 euros you can buy the Event Ticket for the special research “The Great Nebulak” in the store of Niantic’s pocket monster hit. You can find out what steps and rewards await you in our guide to The Great Nebulak formerly known as The Mischievous Nebulak.

Update from July 16, 2020: The Event Ticket for “The Great Nebulak” can now be purchased in the Pokémon Go store for 0.99 euros. In our guide, we have renamed the special research from “The Mischievous Nebulak” to “The Magnificent Nebulak”, because apparently the people from Niantic were not satisfied with the first chosen name. Be careful when buying too! Once you’ve purchased the event ticket, it won’t disappear from the store listing like previous special research on Abra or Samurzel, but will still be displayed for you to purchase! If you want to make sure if you have already bought the ticket, check your inventory to see if the ticket can be found there – before you accidentally pay for it twice. We’ve also updated all the steps! Have fun with Community Day!

Original post from July 6, 2020: On July 19, 2020, the next Community Day in Pokémon Go will take place. Between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., the ghost Pokémon Nebulak will then appear more frequently in the wild – and also sometimes as Shiny. Furthermore, all Gengar evolved from Nebulak’s first Alpollo between 11:00 and 19:00 on Community Day will receive the attack Sinister Fist. On top of that, smoke lasts for three hours and eggs hatch four times faster if you place an egg in an incubator DURING the event. Eggs that have previously been in his egg incubator will not benefit from this bonus. Here is a brief overview of how the hatching bonus affects you:

Eggs Hatchery distanceSuper Hatchery distance
2km0.5 kilometer0.33 kilometer
5km 1.25 kilometer0.83 kilometer
7km1.75 kilometers1.16 kilometers
10km 2.5 kilometers1.66 kilometers

But that’s not all. For 0.99 euros, you can purchase an Event Ticket for the special research “The Great Nebulak” in the Pokémon Go store, whose four tasks naturally focus on Nebulak. The steps will not be particularly fancy, which can already be concluded from the special researches that came into the game for the Community Days of Abra and Samurzel. Note: The steps and rewards for The Great Nebulak in Pokémon Go are not yet 100 percent known – we have interpolated them below from the predecessor special research. Of course, we will check the information again when The Magnificent Nebulak is then playable on July 19, 2020 from 11:00 am.

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from .gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
