PoGO – Pokémon GO: Hatching time! For whom Special Box, Super Box & Hyperbox are currently worthwhile

In line with the Safari Zone in Dortmund, Pokémon Go is currently offering a special deal on the Special Box, the Super Box, and the Hyper Box. For whom are these boxes, which can be grabbed in exchange for Pokécoins, most worthwhile? Especially for those who have a lot of friends and from them a lot of 7km eggs for the ALoLa versions of Vulpix and Co! Because you can currently get super incubators for a good price.

In Pokémon Go, there are currently good reasons to hatch eggs, because via the friendship system, which has recently found its way into Niantic’s AR app, you can get hold of 7km eggs, which in turn contain ALoLa versions of some Kanto Pokémon. More specifically, these currently include: Mauzi, Sansan, Sleima, Vulpix, and Rattfratz, as well as their evolutions. While Pokémon like Rattfratz can also be found in the wild, the occurrence of the other pocket monsters is actually limited to the 7km eggs that you receive from gifts from friends – we have already compiled an overview of the sources of the ALoLa Pokémon for you.

A note at this point: You can pluck the 7km eggs from the gifts, as long as you have one of your nine egg slots free! The eggs also don’t drop from the gifts with a 100% chance, so don’t be surprised if your friends keep your gifts on hold for a long time. You just don’t want to give away the chance to get the eggs.

To make things go a little faster with the hatching of the eggs – and to celebrate the Safari Zone in Dortmund, which took place on the first weekend of July – Pokémon Go currently has boxes at special prices again in the store. As usual, each member of the box triumvirate of Special Box, Super Box and Hyperbox is worthwhile sometimes more and sometimes less. The offer this time is aimed in particular at incubating trainers. Below are the contents, then we explain to you which purchase is really worth it.

3 x egg incubator5 x super incubator12 x super incubator
4 x lucky egg5 x lucky egg12 x lucky egg
5 x attract module12 x star piece

As you can see, the contents are aimed at incubating as many eggs as possible. As tempting as the offer of the special box may seem, don’t buy it, because the price for the egg incubator (we won’t even consider all the other items) is higher than buying it separately. If you want to have super hatchers and benefit from their distance reduction, either buy the super box or – if the coins are there – the hyper box. If you’re looking for attract modules anyway, then take the Superbox.

The Star Pieces in the Hyperbox have admittedly become interesting as well, given the cost of exchanging Pokémon. Also, the lucky eggs – both in Superbox and Hyperbox – go great with the currently active Safari Zone EP bonuses. By the way: If you rotate the photo disc of a PokéStop after a long time, or even for the first time ever, you currently also get five times the amount of EP for it.

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from .gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
