A leak revealing nine new legends was posted on Reddit. Can we believe it?
Apex Legends gets new content with every patch and every – Season . Now it seems that a test player has leaked new characters and other information that will last until – Season 21. So, if you’re into surprises, you should be warned: Watch out for spoilers!
Yes, you read that right! A huge pile of new content has been revealed by an Apex Legends test player. Remember, these are just leaks in the end, so there’s no guarantee that this content will make its way into the game. All of this info was revealed on the ApexUncovered subreddit.
Several Legends leaked until – Season 21
Conduit
The first Legend that was leaked is Conduit. This is a Supporter Legend that is focused on regenerating teammates’ shields. She can sacrifice her own shields to help the squad.
Conduit’s Abilities:
Passive: Capacitance – Conduit regenerates shields over a period of time, this regeneration is increased by nearby allies.
Tactical: Arc Flash – Heals the shields of a targeted ally at the cost of their own shields.
Ultimate: Alternating Current – Conduit fires a fragmentation bomb in an arc, damaging the shields of those in the blast radius. Conduit heals based on the damage dealt.
Scryer
Scryer seems to be some sort of recon legend that can limit the vision of its foes. How exactly does this work? Well apparently this legend can take the enemy’s perspective for a moment. This is especially helpful in determining their position.
Scryer’s Abilities:
Passive: Spectator – Takes possession of your vision and lets you watch your killer.
Tactical: Optic-Haunt – Sets a parasite trap that reveals your opponent’s perspective.
Ultimate: Shadow Wall – Unleashes a spreading wall of darkness that obstructs your enemies’ vision and movement.
Caliber
A legend that can create towers, just what we needed, eh? Torbjörn in Apex Legends. Not only that, this offensive legend can also pick up a third weapon for ultimate artillery firepower.
Caliber’s Abilities:
- Passive: Weapon Sling – A sling in which you can carry a third weapon.
- Tactical: Suppressor Turret – Sets up an improvised turret based on your currently used weapon.
- Ultimate: Auto Loader – Sets up a box that directly feeds ammo to nearby allies’ weapons.
Jester
Okay, for someone who also plays a lot of League of Legends, this looks way too Shaco. I don’t like it at all, why does Jester absolutely have to be able to become invisible and set traps everywhere and dance around the whole map as an annoying clown, huh?
Jester’s abilities:
Passive: Rewire – Jester can convert any grenade into a proximity mine that sticks to surfaces.
Tactical: Spectre Drop – Summons a landing capsule that has three Spectres on board guarding an area. Only one capsule can be active at a time.
Ultimate: Cloak Field – Creates a short-lived cloaking device that hides all players in a small area. Invisibility lasts for 6 seconds.
Phantom
If trapping or a huge arsenal of weapons doesn’t quite appeal to your play style, and you just want to scout the map as quickly and effectively as possible, then Phantom might be for you. If you also like Pathfinder, Wraith, or Octane, then this should be right up your alley.
Phantom’s Abilities:
Passive: Double Jump – Presses the jump button again in mid-air for a double jump (duhh!).
Tactical: Hook Shot – Hook yourself to a wall and hang from it for a short time.
Ultimate: Void Grenade – A grenade that throws hit players into the void for a short time.
Vantage
Vantage is perfect for all of you who don’t always want to be in the middle of the action. Sit back on an elevated point and use your long-range abilities. Heck, you even have a custom rifle as an Ultimate!
Vantage’s Abilities:
Passive: Sniper Kit – Tactical information available in ADS or any long-range scope (legend name, shield rarity, team size, range).
Tactical: Echo Launch – Pull up to your winged companion Echo. Give Echo commands by pressing Q. Launch Echo by holding down Q.
Ultimate: Mark to Kill – A customized rifle that scans enemies and increases the damage of Vantage and her squad. Double damage on multiple hits on each other. The team gets 15% bonus damage on marked targets.
Catalyst
Didn’t Fortnite just kick building out of the game? Seems like Catalyst got all of those abilities, I guess. This legend can build platforms and walls thanks to the appropriate abilities. There’s only one game in which building is allowed, and it seems like Apex has won the battle-royale-in-which-you-can-build battle.
Catalyst’s Abilities:
Passive: Reinforce – Stopping near your Ferrofluid structures or other Legends placeable objects will strengthen their integrity, they can take significantly more damage.
Tactical: Ferro Shot – On impact, this shot creates a ramp of hardened ferrofluid that can be expanded with more shots. This also allows platforms to be built on walls (Maximum 3 structures).
Ultimate: Iron Tower – Ferrofluid rises and pushes you upward while creating a tall and massive column below you.
Uplink
If you want to play support but don’t want to sacrifice your shield for your squad, then you should try Uplink. This legend is supposed to be released as well, according to the leaks. It will have the ability to improve the effectiveness of consumable items, so it will be a true healer for the squad.
Uplink’s Abilities:
Passive: Network Communion – Gain 25% Recovery Effects used in Signal Range.
Tactical: Shield Satellite – Release a satellite that follows allies, regenerates their shields and revives them.
Ultimate: Immortality Relay Beacon – A deployable satellite node that prevents allies from going down in the area of effect.
Newcastle
The last revealed legend is another support called Newcastle. This legend can easily always buy new team members as it gets tons of money from Saudi Arabia. Little joke for you soccer fans…. here are the actual skills:
Newcastle’s Skills:
Passive: Retrieve The Wounded – Pull allies that have gone down while reviving them and protect them with your revive shield.
Tactical: Mobile Shield – Throw a controllable drone that creates a mobile energy shield.
Ultimate: Castle Wall – Jump to an ally or target area and create an armored position there.
Will all of these legendaries appear in Apex Legends?
It’s not very likely that all of these Legends will make it into the game. Some might be discarded again or incorporated into already existing legends. It’s also not known how old the video footage and images of the leaks are, which could mean that some may have already gotten a rework.
What is actually… “Apex Legends?
Within 24 hours, “Apex Legends” became the most-watched game on Twitch – after one week, over 25 million people were already playing it. What is the battle royale shooter about?
What is “Apex Legends” about?
Scenario: In a distant future, bandits, adventurers, and outlaws settle their disputes in a sporting contest to the death. The setting is a fertile, industrially developed valley on the edge of the galaxy.
- Genre: Battle Royale shooter
- Game modes: survival battle between a maximum of 20 teams of three.
At its core, “Apex Legends” is a classic battle-royale shooter: up to 60 players land simultaneously in teams of three on the game map called “Kings Canyon” – a densely built-up, fertile valley with many accessible houses, bunkers and towers. Once on the ground, unarmed players must search their surroundings for equipment and ammunition. The goal of the game is to stay alive until the end.
To prevent players from hiding all over the map and waiting to automatically be the last one left, the game area shrinks every few minutes. The longer a round lasts, the smaller the area where survivors can move and hide.
Apex Legends refreshes this now classic game formula with some ideas that are unique to the genre: For example, before starting a round, players select one of eight heroes, each of which has two special abilities and facilitates certain play styles.
Bangalore, for example, is the classic soldier who can conceal her position with smoke grenades and call in an artillery strike in an emergency. The heroine Lifeline, on the other hand, can summon a drone to heal teammates – or directly order the delivery of high-value weapons and equipment via aerial drone. This way, all players can find the right hero for their preferred course of action.
How can I play Apex Legends?
Platform: “Apex Legends” is available for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
Price: The battle royale shooter is a “Free to Play” title and can basically be played for free on all platforms.
In-game purchases: “Apex Legends” allows the purchase of cosmetic items and new heroes either by means of in-game currency, which can be earned for free in every round, or with real money. The real-money currency “Apex Coins” can be purchased in five different amounts: The smallest possible amount is 1000 Apex Points for around 9.99 euros, while the largest pack with 10,000 Apex Points content costs 99.99 euros.
The developer emphasizes that it is not possible to buy game advantages with the help of real money: You can only use it to customize the appearance of the heroes, it says, or purchase new heroes.
Age rating: “Apex Legends” does not have a youth rating (USK 18).
Which technical terms should you know?
Respawn Beacon: If a player is shot down, the team members who are still alive have the opportunity to bring the fallen comrade back into the game: Each eliminated player leaves behind a so-called Respawn Banner, which can be collected by the players of the own team and handed in at one of 28 Respawn Beacons, certain locations on the map. If this succeeds, the fallen player returns to the game.
Jumpmaster: At the beginning of the game, one of the maximum three players of a team always takes on the role of the jumpmaster. He decides when and where his team enters the game area.
Ping: Using the middle mouse button, players can alert their teammates to interesting locations in the game world or enemies. These pings are a valuable tool for communicating quickly and efficiently within the team.
