– Season 3 celebrates mid– Season in Call of Duty: Warzone. With a big mid– Season update, on the evening of May 25, massive changes are coming to the Battle Royale: a new perk, the fast travel system for Caldera and much more. Get a first overview on MeinMMO.

– Season 3 is already halfway through and brings new content and changes to the free Battle Royale Call of Duty: Warzone with a big mid– Season update. And the update has it all.

Already the first blogpost for the update shows extensive changes to the game and there is more to come. Warzone pro “IcemanIsaac” even calls the update “probably the best update of Warzone so far” (via twitter.com).

CoD Warzone: Mid– Season 3 – Update Info

When is the update coming? Mid– Season 3 starts in Warzone on May 25 at 6pm.

How big is the update? There is no info on this yet. But especially the fast travel system looks very memory hungry. An update between 5 and 15 GB, maybe even bigger, would be possible.

Is there a preload? In recent updates, preloads have been rather erratic and sometimes not at all. There is no way to tell for sure if you will be able to download the update sooner.

CoD Warzone: Mid– Season 3 – Content Info

The developers at Raven Software have already given a lot of details in the first blog post for Mid– Season 3, but they emphasize that these are not all the changes yet.

But what is already known so far, we show you here:

• Fast travel system on Caldera

Almost every point of interest on Caldera gets an entrance to the new fast travel system. 14 entrances get the tunnel system, where you tile across the island in mining vehicles. Approach one of these vehicles to see where it will take you.

We’ll embed the map with the different destinations for each station here:

• Blue Perk “Serpentine

The new perk is also available in CoD: Vanguard and reduces incoming damage when you run. Bullet, explosive attacks, and fire will cause you 20% less damage. If you hit an enemy with the perk, you will receive a special hit marker when the damage is reduced.

The Self-Resurrection token gets a visit from kin. The valuable bonuses “Gulag Token” and “Redeploy Token” come into play and give you more options when respawning.

While the Gulag Token gets you into the 1vs1 duel a second time, the Redeploy Token gets you right back into the match after a death. Both tokens only last as long as the Gulag is open and pay out a lot of cash if you have them in your inventory until then.

These zones are meant to create new, attractive drop zones. Right at the start of the match, there are marked zones on Caldera that are equipped with especially good loot.

It may be worth a look. However, don’t assume that things will be quiet here.

• Field Upgrade “Radar Jammer

Similar to the “Trophy System” and “P.D.S.” field upgrades, you throw this item on the ground in front of you and all nearby enemies have a broken mini-map and cannot use killstreaks.

• “Champion of Caldera” Solo

In the new solo mode, you’ll be able to go full throttle from the first minute and you won’t be able to rest – the circle is closing all the time and you should be constantly on the move.

You start together with 149 players directly with your loadout equipment and find more cash than usual. The earned thalers can be spent at a souped-up buy station, which offers you upgraded reconnaissance drones and even the hefty specialist bonus.

To further encourage aggressive play, each kill gives you back health, equipment, and ammo.

• New submachine gun H4 Bixen

The blog compares the new MP to the powerful Owen Gun: The Bixen is said to have slightly more range, but a lower rate of fire. The vertical recoil is lower, but the recoil pattern can be treacherous.

According to the first descriptions, the Bixen could be a strong sniper support with high damage, but also corresponding resistance to recoil.

Unfortunately, the challenge sounds again very much like something for multiplayer: collect 3 kills while sliding in 15 different matches.

• Changes on Rebirth Island

There are supposed to be more adjustments on the small island map, but there are no real details about that yet. The blog rather talks about the story that develops on Rebirth.

However, a new in-match event has already been announced: Occupation Scans. If the event is active, you will have to lie down on the ground. All operators that don’t taste the ground can be seen on the big map and on the mini-map for opponents.

• Many quality-of-life adjustments

Besides all the gameplay adjustments and new content, there are apparently a lot of smaller changes coming to Warzone that change the gameplay experience on a small scale.

However, the details will be announced with the official patch notes. As a teaser, Raven Software has already announced a new “Squad HUD”. With it you can possibly get more information about the equipment of your team members.

Warzone is stepping on the gas and showing for Mid– Season 3 that they are not neglecting the current Warzone, even though the successor will be announced later this year.
