Jungle is a large multiplayer map from Call of Duty: Black Ops and Black Ops 4.
Description
This map is set in the jungle of Vietnam. Treyarch’s David Vonderhaar announced early on that it would be a large map consisting of partially destroyed ruins and bush huts. The map is suitable for any type of combat, from long range gun battles to close quarters combat and everything in between. Combat often shifts between two levels, as there are many ladders and hills that make you quickly disappear from one level to another. The city area of the map is often visited and usually here the fights tend to take place closer together. However, there are some places where you can see far, which is optimal for snipers, while the huts, plants, rocks and ruins give you cover. In some parts of the map there are mines on the ground, like in Wasteland from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. In the middle of the map there is a very high ledge that covers a really large area of the map, while you can only access it from one place, which is best secured with a claymore, a motion detector or a camera tripod. You can also drop supplies here and either use them as bait or collect them at your leisure. The height of the ledge is useful in other ways, too, because if you get shot and are about to die, you can just retreat, or you can just jump down and commit suicide if you run out of ammo.
Info
- Jungle was supposed to be another map in Black Ops that was fully developed, but shortly before the release date the developers decided against it, preferring to bring the current version into the game.
- Jungle is the most changed map on Wii. There are more plants and bushes, you can lie down in the water and there is a pack of Cuban cigars on the ledge, but the ammo box found in the console versions is gone.
- The Viet Cong flag hangs in one of the huts, but you can’t play them on this map, nor do they even appear as a playable faction in multiplayer.
Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
