League of Legends Skins-EDG

Our worst nightmare has come true – Yuumi gets a World Championship skin. But what other champions did EDG players choose for their Worlds 2021 skins?

It’s been a good six months now since Edward Gaming lifted the Summoner’s Cup in Reykjavík. Of course, they also got to pick the champions they wanted to get a World Championship skin for. Some of them were a bit of a surprise, others were already pretty much set from the start.

So which champions will get World Championship skins? For most of them, it’s the very first one. We tell you everything we already know about the EDG Skins.

The EDG World Championship skins have been leaked

The skins of the 2021 World Champions have been leaked on Twitter. Most of the champions we were expecting to see can also be found on the splash art. However, there is one surprise floating on a small book next to Aphelios… it’s actually Yuumi.

Which champions will get a World Championship skin?

EDG’s Toplaner Flandre has said from the beginning that he would choose Graves. As we can see from the splash art, Graves is in the upper left corner. Daddy Graves is at the start!

JieJie, the talented jungler from EDG, wanted to get a skin for Viego, and it can be found on the Splash Art as well. Those abs unmistakably belong to the Ruined King.

Viper’s Aphelios skin has been set for a while. Former Griffin coach cvMax said in his stream that Viper has chosen Aphelios for the Worlds Skin. So this is his third skin – it was about time, if we’re being honest.

That Scout would choose Zoe was also the logical decision for many. The midlaner from EDG said after winning the Worlds that he would choose a champion he played during the finals. He gave a convincing performance with Zoe, so the choice probably fell on her.

At first, most thought that Meiko would choose Lulu, in view of his Worlds skin. But then his choice fell on Yuumi – which surely disappointed a few fans, especially the Yuumi haters. However, she was one of the most prominent picks during Worlds 2021. Oh, what’s cool though is that Yuumi looks like his real pet cat.

When will the EDG skins be released?

There is still no official date for the release of the of Legends World Championship Skins 2021. Last year, the DAMWON Skins were released in patch 11.09, which could indicate that the EDG Skins will be released around patch 12.09 or 12.10.

Some leakers expect a release of some new High Noon skins in LoL patch 12.09, which could mean that the tenth patch of the year is reserved for the EDG skins. However, these are only guesses, Riot has not yet commented or confirmed anything about this.

Champion skin

Champion skin (or skin for short) refers to the color scheme or appearance of a champion. Most champion skins can be purchased in the Riot Shop with Riot Points, while others are/were only available for special events/promotions. However, some selected chroma skins (color-changed skins)can be purchased at special events for Blue Essence. Some champion skins bring new particles for visual effects, quotes, and sound effects. Each skin has its own splashart, which is displayed in the champion selection and loading screen. Since patch 7.16, the custom champion image is also matched to the skin in the game itself.

What is actually… “”?

“League of Legends is one of the most successful titles in the world. But what is it actually about? And what makes the game so popular? An explanation for beginners.

What is League of Legends (“LoL”) about?

In a classic game of “League of Legends,” two teams each have five characters called champions, each with individual characteristics. The main goal of each team is to destroy the opponent’s Nexus (the main building). Before this can be attacked, however, several defenses must be torn down on at least one of the three central level routes (lanes). Similar to “Dota 2”, the heroes receive continuous support on their campaign from AI-controlled units called minions. They storm the battlefield at regular intervals and independently attack enemies or enemy buildings – but only on the three main paths of the map. Those who roam around in the surrounding jungle will have to do without minion help. As usual in the MOBA genre, the champions reach higher levels by collecting experience points. In the course of the match, they learn numerous new abilities. Provided they have enough gold, the player can also strengthen himself with new equipment. Each of the 141 hero characters that the player can currently choose from is assigned to one of six classes. Warriors can deal out a lot of damage, tanks take a lot of punishment, mages have powerful special abilities, and supporters can, among other things, replenish the mana energy of allies or heal their comrades-in-arms.
