Heroes Dota 2 – Brewmaster

Heroes (Dota 2)

The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.

Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.

Brewmaster: “This calls for a drinking song!”

Mangix, the Brewmaster Brewmaster Icon.png (Brewmaster), is a hero from DotA and Dota 2. The often buzzed Brewmaster is a melee unit and belongs to the Radiant. In the game, Brewmaster can take on the role of a Carry, Durabler, Initiator, and Pusher. Brewmaster’s Thunder Clap ability stuns surrounding units, while Drunken Haze slows down an enemy target unit and all surrounding enemies, sometimes making them miss hits. With his passive ability Drunken Brawler, Brewmaster can dodge hits from enemy units and land critical hits himself. The Ultimate ability Primal Split lets the Brewmaster transform himself into three elements with different abilities. Buying Aghanim’s Scepter as Brewmaster allows each of the elements to have one of Brewmaster’s other abilities. As long as at least one of the elements survives, Brewmaster is reborn.

Brewmaster – Hype

Brewmaster is a fearsome fighter who supplements his alcohol-based fighting style with paralyzing barrel blows and a fighting staff. In dire need, he can also split into three elemental spirits, each with their own abilities.

Brewmaster – Biography

“Through the depths of the Wailing Mountains, below the ruined city, stretches a valley where the ancient order of the Oyo has for centuries practiced its rites of sacred daydreaming, great festivities of exuberant libation in which communion with the realm of the spirits is solicited. From the crossing of maternal flesh with a celestial father, the youth Mangix was born, the first of his kind to be inspired with the gifts of both lineages. He was schooled by the Order’s greatest aesthetes, and finally, in recognition of his eager drunkenness, was granted to take the exam of Brewmaster – the highest title known to this contemplative, malt-brewing sect.

In a binge of life and death, Mangix drank and fought the old master for nine days. Through nine nights they stumbled, stumbled and twirled, stomped and thrashed until the old warrior collapsed senseless. A new Brewmaster was named. The new young Brewmaster now knows the power of his Oyo ancestors behind him to lead his followers. Like all Brewmasters before him, he has been sent by his people with a single mission. He wanders the lands, striving toward enlightenment through drunkenness, searching for the cause of the former division of the mind, hoping one day to think the one thought that will bring spiritual and physical planes back into harmony.”
