In FIFA 22 the first step towards the TOTY event starts. As every year, the “Team of the Year” will bring extremely strong cards.
This is what’s going on in FIFA 22: EA Sports has announced the first cards that could be in FIFA 22’s Team of the Year. The attackers make the beginning this year, the other positions will come at a later date.
However, the actual voting will be delayed a bit: fans can select and share their starting eleven for the 2021 Team of the Year during the voting period from Monday, January 10, 2022 at 17:00 until January 18, 2022 at 08:59.

Which attackers can be elected? A total list of 22 offensive players who are eligible for TOTY has been released. They all had strong performances last year and thus could get a TOTY card.

The nominees include some strikers who are already very strong in the game anyway. Stars like Kylian Mbappé, Ronaldo, Messi, Lewandowski or even Neymar already have extremely high rated cards. Possible TOTY variants of the players should get values in the 98 or 99 range.
However, other candidates from the list would also get very strong cards. Examples like Immobile, Insigne, Payet or Tadić could be exciting alternatives from other leagues.
What is the “TOTY” in FIFA 22 anyway?
What does the TOTY event bring? TOTY is the common abbreviation for Team of the Year. In Ultimate Team, this team is searched for every year and is then equipped with extremely strong cards.
The basis of the team is a whole field of nominees from all over the world, who were able to convince with particularly strong performances. From this field, FIFA 22 players can then in turn choose which footballers can end up with one of the strong TOTY cards.
