Fans had to wait a long time, now the SCAR is back in Fortnite with update 21.10. However, the new debut of the gun does not turn out according to the wishes of the fans.

Epic Games’ Battle Royale throws countless new guns at its fans in practically every update and every – Season – but a big favorite of the community has been missing for a long time. With update 21.10, that’s over. The SCAR, by far the most popular assault rifle in the game, is coming back. However, as IPPEN.MEDIA’s ingame.de reports, the SCAR’s return to Fortnite is not what most fans would have wanted.

Where did this info come from? Shortly after Epic Games released the latest update 21.10 for Fortnite, dataminers and insiders pounced on the new game files. This included Fortnite Intel on Twitter. The account is one of the better known within the community when it comes to current news about Fortnite. Fortnite Intel reported in the morning of June 21, 2022 that the SCAR would apparently return to the game in a new form.

Why is the SCAR so popular? The SCAR has been one of the community’s absolute favorite weapons since the early days of Fortnite. Simply put, among assault rifles, the SCAR is arguably the most powerful option in the game. With about 192 damage per second and a fire rate of 5.5 per second, it shreds just about anything that’s out of its mind. What’s more, it has a very unique look among all the weapons in Fortnite – so unique, in fact, that it got its own NERF model.

How does the SCAR return? In update 21.10, the SCAR returns in a slightly different form. Instead of the usual sandy beige look, the assault rifle appears in a matte black. This should set alarm bells ringing for some fans. In fact, the SCAR is a very specific weapon, namely the Nocturno. And unfortunately, it comes with a fat catch.

The Nocturno will probably not return to the Battle Royale mode in the form it can currently be found in Fortnite. Instead, the variation of the SCAR will remain exclusively in “Save the World” mode for now, i.e. in Fortnite’s co-op. The much more popular Fortnite Battle Royale will probably have to do without the SCAR for the time being.

Fortnite: Will SCAR be back in Battle Royale in the future?

Could the SCAR also come to the Battle Royale? Whether the SCAR will once again find its way into the Battle Royale of Fortnite is still questionable. In any case, the fact that the model of the weapon is apparently back in the game’s files is slightly positive; moreover, Epic Games has been regularly taking changing weapons out of the “vault” lately and bringing them back into the game for a limited time. Most recently, the Recon Scanner and the Railgun came back to Fortnite.

However, any assumption in the direction is pure speculation. The Nocturno and the SCAR from Battle Royale are already a bit different from each other, and one weapon coming into the game doesn’t necessarily mean the same for the other. However, hardly any weapon is as popular among fans as the SCAR. Sooner or later, it will certainly have to return.
