The Road to the Final-Promo in FIFA 22. We tell you how the RTTF event for the Ultimate Team works and of course who has a special card. Furthermore you can find all current ratings and upgrades of the Road to the Final players. The final is coming!
RTTF Upgrade Tracker
We tell you everything about the Road to the Final (RTTF) cards in FIFA 22. This event has become a tradition in FIFA Ultimate Team. The RTTF event in FIFA 21 produced some killer cards. We expect the same from this promo.
The RTTF cards are dynamic, which means they can improve as the – Season progresses. Of course, we’ll tell you how the whole thing works. We will update this article whenever new RTTF cards are released or players receive their upgrades.
What is RTTF?
The RTTF is the Road to the Final event in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team. The Champions League, Europa League and Conference League dynamic cards upgrade automatically after certain requirements are met.
In FIFA 21, we had three teams that appeared until the knockout stage of the European competitions. So you can look forward to sick players like Messi, Lewandowski, Salah and Co. You can also follow all the news about Road to the Final at any time on EA’s official homepage. The dynamic upgrades are only available in EarlyGame.
Is there a RTTF Team 2 in FIFA 22?
The FIFA 22 Road to the Final (RTTF) event started on Friday, February 18th with Team 1 and continued with the first mini release on February 20th.
There is no Team 2 of RTTF coming in FIFA 22. Instead it went on with the Silver Stars..
Over the weekend of March 26 and 27, Memphis Depay, Thiago, Kyle Walker, Lucas Hernandez and Ainsley Maitland-Niles came in as mini releases to add to the RTTF lineup. They will be eligible for the victory upgrade in the quarterfinals of their competitions.
Mini Release with Ramsey and Oxlade-Chamberlain
After the quarterfinals, more RTTF players entered the game as SBCs on April 23 and 24 with Aaron Ramsey (Rangers) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Liverpool).
How do RTTF upgrades work in FIFA 22?
As in previous years, the cards will receive dynamic upgrades. The upgrades are based on the real results of the Champions, Europa and Conference League. The popular Conference League (sarcasm) will be there for the first time with RTTF cards.
Upgrades will be awarded for the following achievements:
Victory in the first knockout round match after the start of the event
- Qualification for quarterfinals
- Qualification for the semifinals
- Qualification for final
- UCL, UEL, UECL titles
When will RTTF cards get their upgrades?
According to EA, “it can take a few days for a Road to the Final item to be updated in-game.” Ok… then just keep the secret, my goodness.
Well, what should we say great, the best time in FIFA 22 is over, because Presnel Kimpembe is actually part of the RTTF promo. So far the Frenchman didn’t have a Special Card in FIFA 22. Well, let’s stay positive.
Current ratings and players who can get an upgrade: Update on the final
Liverpool is the first team of the – Season to reach the final of the Champions League. Tough fight from Villarreal, respect! Real Madrid is the other finalist. What a spectacle in both City and Real games – arguably one of the most awesome semifinals ever.
In the Europa League it came to the dream final: Rangers against Eintracht. It’s just a pity that EA didn’t give Eintracht a RTTF. At least Kevin Trapp got a MOTM for his important saves. Congratulations to Eintracht at this point!
The Conference League also has a cool duel in store with Roma against Feyenoord. If Roma wins, Maitland-Niles and Smalling go up +2.
Players that are marked are still in the competition and can rise further, the latest upgrades are in brackets behind the player. “X” stands for players who are out and can no longer get an upgrade.

FIFA 22 RTTF – Champions-Europe- & Conference League Results
Right at the beginning there was drama – we like it! The CL round of 16 draw had to be repeated because the officials and the software made a mistake. For us gamers, this is relevant because teams like Bayern Munich now have a much more feasible draw.
