Faction Call of Duty – Wehrmacht

The German military, better known as the Wehrmacht, is the most recurring antagonist in the call

of Duty game series. They are fought in , Call of Duty: United Offensive, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 2: Big Red One, Call of Duty 3, and Call of Duty: World at War.

In the different games, the fighting style of the Germans changes with the difficulty settings recruits, mercenaries, soldiers, and veterans. Individual German soldiers don’t have a lot of stamina or strength and can actually be taken out quite easily. A melee combat system was introduced in Call of Duty 3 to improve it, where you have to press certain keys in some places to repel an attacking German soldier.

The Wehrmacht has different uniforms in the campaigns, all of which adapt to the environment. Light brown or green for missions in deserts and landscapes, white winter jackets for missions in Russia.

air force

The Luftwaffe of the Germans is presented in the form of planes that the player must either shoot down or avoid by hiding. However, such incidents rarely occur in the campaigns.

Info

    • In almost every part of the series that featured the Wehrmacht, it was also the player’s main antagonist.
    • At the end of a successful multiplayer game in Call of Duty: World at War, the Hradec Králové March is playing and Adolf Hitler can be heard saying, ” Before us lies Germany, within us marches Germany, and behind us comes Germany! “.
    • The soldiers of the Wehrmacht in Call of Duty: World at War look much dirtier and tattered than in the other games, both in the campaign and in multiplayer. This is either because WaW is a darker game than the others, or because WaW is mostly set in the final weeks of WWII and many of the soldiers have already exhausted their resources and seen horrible things.
    • Despite the sometimes inclement weather, most German soldiers fight with their sleeves rolled up or in uniforms that have short sleeves. The exception is the Downfall mission, where you can also see soldiers with long sleeves.
    • Some of the German soldiers in Call of Duty 2 have the Spanish Royal Guard symbol on their helmets, which would indicate they are Spanish. It was probably just for decoration by the developers.
    • When you cut the radio in the fight for survival on the map Night of the Undead, you can sometimes hear the Königgrätzer March. However, this only applies to WaW. In Black Ops, the song was removed for unknown reasons.
    • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the only game in the series where you recognize German soldiers as allies rather than enemies.

Call of Duty

The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
