to be, but most come from Cuba. You fight them in almost every mission in 2025. Additionally, the Mercenaries are a playable faction in multiplayer. They fight the SEAL Team Six on Downhill , Hijacked , Standoff , Encore , and Nuketown 2025, the FBI on Aftermath, Express, Grind, Raid, and Studio , and the ISA on Slums and Plaza .

background

During the creation of the parent organization Cordis Die , Raul Menendez needed very fit young men to conduct aggressive operations against Western military forces. With the help of his right-hand man DeFalco , Menendez managed to hire thousands of mercenaries for his private army. Most of them come from the former Cuban military.

gear

Thanks to the vast wealth that Raul Menendez has amassed over the past thirty years during the creation of Cordis Die, the mercenaries possess only the finest weapons, equipment, clothing, and even a few drones. When it comes to vehicles, the mercenaries prefer heavy armored vehicles with machine guns painted in camouflage patterns, or colorless UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters. The appearance is reminiscent of a well-trained private army. Blood-colored camo pants, ballistic vests, balaclavas with sunglasses, radio gear, and even military ballistic helmets.

Info

    • Although made up mostly of Cubans in the campaign, in multiplayer the mercenaries are a mix of American, British, Australian and African soldiers.
    • In multiplayer, the mercenaries also sometimes wear green uniforms instead of the orange camouflage they showed off in the campaign.
    • They wear different uniforms with winter camouflage on the Downhill map.
    • In screenshots shown before the game’s release, the mercenaries were still seen in green uniforms, similar to the ones they sometimes wear in multiplayer now. Their logo was two crossed M16’s , which was then changed again.
    • It’s kind of ironic that the mercenaries are fighting for Cordis Die, because that organization is so clearly anti-capitalism.
    • Some mercenaries carry a Five-Seven, which you can also pick up, but when it’s in the belt, it looks different than the regular pistol.

Call of Duty

The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
