We present to you the history of the CSGO division.
First impression
For the first time, Team Spirit appeared in June 2016 at the headquarters of the competitive CS. Then the promising CIS team Team Phenomenon was signed, which included the following:
KALT
S0tF1k
DavCost
kibaken
Dima
Team Spirit played in this composition until 2017.
First tests
The first championship for players in the new organization was owayo Masters tournament. Team Spirit showed a good level of play and won it without any problems. Later, the team finished second in Operation: Kinguin # 3 and won two other small tournaments: Betway Invitational and Stream.me Gauntlet EU.
However, there were also failed performances. For example, the team failed to qualify tournaments for StarLadder i-League StarSeries – Season 2, DreamHack Bucharest 2016 and ECS – Season 2. Spirit also failed to make it to ESWC 2016, dropping out of the qualifiers in 13th-16th place.
In November 2016, Spirit stopped one step short of winning the CIS Minor Championship – Atlanta 2017, finishing second in the tournament. After that, the team was unable to break into the tournament by completing qualifying and finished 15th-16th.
Trying to find your game
The next – Season did not start well for Team Spirit. The team failed to qualify for ECS – Season 3, StarLadder i-League StarSeries – Season 3, and DreamHack Austin 2017. These results led to natural changes in the squad. First, Kibaken left the band and Starix took his place.
With the renewed squad, Team Spirit continued its attempts to reach the top of competitive Counter-Strike. However, not to say that the attempts were successful.
The team performed well in minor championships such as Hellcase Cup No. 3, where it finished 2nd, and ESEA – Season 24: Premier Division – Europe, where it finished 4th. However, at the CIS Minor Championship – Krakow 2017, the team finished in 7th-8th place and even in 9th-16th place at the DreamHack Valencia qualifier.
Later, Team Spirit will finish 12th to 12th at Hellcase Cup No. 5 and ESEA – Season 25: Premier Division – Europe.
At the end of the summer TS will win a small Binary Dragons Prestige LAN Championship, but at the beginning of the fall they will fail again the responsible qualifiers for DreamHack Denver 2017 and WCA 2017. The latest results brought more changes: starix left the team and Bogen took his place. Until the end of the year TS played with this lineup. However, the reshuffle did not bring any particular changes in the game.
Team Spirit still did well in very small tournaments, but could not compete with teams of a higher class. The situation changed slightly in 2018-2019.
2018-2019
At the beginning of 2018, Team Spirit made a point change: Instead of Arch, a young man joined the team at some point.
The first tournaments followed the reshuffles. Team Spirit won St. Petersburg Cybersport Festival “Defender” and then ended up in second place at StarLadder & ImbaTV Invitational Chongqing 2018, and later in third place at ESEA – Season 27: Premier Division – Europe. A good start was “spoiled” by a not-so-good sequel. Spirit failed to qualify for DreamHack Open Tours 2018 and ESL One: Belo Horizonte, as well as StarSeries & i-League CS: GO – Season 5.
Nevertheless, such setbacks did not break Team Spirit’s morale. In May, Team Spirit took the second line at ESEA – Season 2017: Global Challenge and in June, the second line at GG.BET Majestic. In July, Spirit manages to take the second place in Legend Series: Europe # 5 and CIS Minor Championship – London 2018.
In September, the team enters its first major tournament, which became FACEIT Major: London 2018. Unfortunately, the team was not able to show its best game there and finished 17th-19th. By the end of the year, Team Spirit is trying to recover from the defeat at the World Championship.
At the beginning of 2019, Spirit once again finished second in the CIS Minor. This time, the team made it to Katowice Major 2019, but at Intel Extreme Masters XIII – Katowice Major 2019 itself, the team performed even worse than the previous time. After finishing 23rd-24th, Team Spirit has to change its squad.
DavCost and Dima leave the team and Chopper and iDISBALANCE take their place. By the end of the year, Spirit has shown a good game several times, finishing 2nd in ESEA – Season 31: Global Challenge, 3rd in ESEA – Season 32: Premier Division – Europe and 2nd in Champions Cup Final.
Online period
Team Spirit launches in 2020 with an updated look. The lineup includes:

The updated roster has benefited the “Dragons”. At the beginning of the year, the team took 1st place in SECTOR: MOSTBET – Season 1, 3rd place in Flashpoint – Season 1: European Qualifier and won WESG 2019 in Russia.
In the middle of the year, the team took 2nd place at HomeSweetHome: Week 1, ate at DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 and won ESL One: Road to Rio – CIS. In fact, DreamHack Mastres Spring 2020 Team Spirit only finished 9th-12th, which was one of the few failures in a year. Later, Team Spirit finished in 2nd place at WePlay! Clutch Island and win Eden Arena: Malta Vibes – Week 8 and nine through five – No. 3 in August 2020.
In the fall, Team Spirit placed 7th-8th at ESL Pro League – Season 12: Europe and 3rd at Intel Extreme Masters XV – New York Online: CIS 3rd place. At the end of the year, Spirit finishes 2nd at DreamHack Open in November 2020 and 9th-12th at DreamHack Masters Winter 2020: Europe.

CS:GO
CS:GO Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO for short) is a computer game from the genre of online tactical shooters. It was developed by Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment and is the fourth part of the Counter-Strike series. The game was released on August 21, 2012 for Windows, Linux, macOS, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A release for the PlayStation 3 in Europe failed to materialize for unknown reasons. Global Offensive achieved a Metascore of 83 points. Since September 14, 2017, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has also been available in China via the Perfect World client. In December 2018, the game was switched to a free-to-play model, which drew criticism.
