Team Information:
Heroic is a Danish organization best known for its Counter-Strike unit. The Heroic tag appeared on the competitive scene in 2013, but the club was officially launched only in 2016.

We present to you the history of the Heroic CSGO team.

First impression
As mentioned above, they first appeared in Heroic tournaments in 2013. Then the tag was used by the Danish lineup device and later by other mixes. The club was officially founded in 2016 by former Team X members. The initial structure of the organization included:

Friis
MODDII
gla1ve
valde
Snappi
With such a squad Heroic made its debut in the esport arena. In August 2016, the team was whitewashed at the Power LAN 2016, after which a period of stagnation began.

Heroic has repeatedly tried to perform at its best in major international tournaments, but the Danes have not been so lucky. They finished 5th-6th at DreamHack Open Bucharest 2016, 12th at ESL Pro League – Season 4 – Europe and 9th-16th at the eSports World Convention. Such performances led to gla1ve’s replacement in October 2016. The place of the deceased player was taken by niko.

With the renewed squad, Heroic ended the year successfully, taking first place at the International League 2016 – Grand Finals.

However, in 2017 such results became rare. Heroic spent almost the entire next year searching for the optimal roster.

Search for the optimal composition
Almost immediately, Heroic began the year with replacements. Friis left the team in January and was replaced by cadiaN.

Already in February, the reshuffle continued. In February, JUGI was retooled. Heroic’s renewed roster surprised many and finished 3-4th at the Intel Extreme Masters XI – World Championship. However, the good results of 2017 ended there.

By the end of the year, there will be more than one replacement in the lineup. Valde will go to the bench in May and es3tag will join the team in June.

At the end of the year, a peacemaker will join the team for a trial period. Later, his contract will be extended for another 12 months.

Unfortunately, Heroic is constantly reshuffled in 2018. However, in the next – Season the squad changes were accompanied by successful performances in several prestigious tournaments.

The year started with a victory in the closed qualification for the IEM XII – World Championship from the European region.

Heroic later finished fourth at cs_summit 2, but failed twice at the S-Rank Championship in February. Heroic finished 9th-11th at StarLadder & i-League StarSeries – Season 4 and 9th-12th at Intel Extreme Masters XII – World Championship. After such performances es3tag was replaced by RUBINO.

Already in March Heroic reported that JUGi became inactive for personal reasons. But already in April JUGi left the team completely and Friberg took his place.

Active shuffling lasted until September 2018. In September, Heroic won the Gamers Clash Masters 2018 after a long time. They made it with:

MODDII
es3tag
friberg
AcilioN
mertz
And two months later, Heroic won the TOYOTA Master CS: GO Bangkok 2018.

2019-2020 year
Although 2018 ended on a high note for Heroic, the Danish club went back to basics in early 2019 and continued to search for the optimal lineup. In January, MODDII went to the bench and was quickly replaced by Schuld. We managed to hold out until March 2019 without replacement.

Constant failures in the championships and unsatisfactory results of performance in qualifying tournaments forced the management of the club to change the composition again. In March, stavn took the place of AcilioN. The slightly updated Heroic roster passed the first test with a bang. The team became the champion of the GG.Bet Sydney Invitational.

However, after a temporary clearing, the clouds thickened again. Heroic failed to Intel Extreme Masters XIV – Sydney and finished 13th-16th there, ESL Pro League – Season 9 – Europe 7th-8th, ESL Pro League – Season 9 – Finals with 7th-8th place in ESL One Cologne 2019 There 7th-8th place and Intel Extreme Masters XIV – Chicago, 5th-6th place.

In August, the composition again undergoes major changes. First, the club parted with NaToSaphiX, and a week later Friberg also left, her place was taken by b0RUP and Snappi. However, the results of the already renewed roster are no different from previous attempts to get to the top of the European and global counterstrike.

In September, the headliner in the person of BlameF leaves the team and cadiaN takes his place.

At the end of 2019, Heroic finally manages to perform well. In November they take 1st place at DreamHack Open Atlanta 2019 and in December they take 3rd-4th place at EPICENTER 2019.

2020 starts with a big news: the Heroic squad wants to acquire FunPlus Phoenix. However, the clubs did not close the deal and the five returned to the Heroic camp. Upon returning to the bench, however, es3tag and Snappi will be shipped out. The place of the deceased players is taken by TeSeS and niko.

In the middle of the year Heroic shows extremely successful results. From May to August, they win a number of major tournaments, including #HomeSweetHome: Week 5, LOOT.BET/CS – Season 6, and ESL One: Cologne 2020 Online – Europe. In October, they solidify their success with a win at DreamHack Open Fall 2020.

Organization and Awards
The position of CEO of the club is held by Erik Askered. The squad manager is Nicolai Hansen, and CadiaN wears the captain’s armband.

Heroic has collaborated with a number of major brands, including Render, SteelSeries and GG.BET.

Since its inception, the CSGO division has brought the club over $1,100,000 in prize money.
