Welcome bonus

A bookie can be the provider with the most appealing betting offer ever and the best customer service ever, but of course the sports betting bonus also has to fit in order to arouse your interest. In my experience, this does not fully apply to KTO and its welcome bonus.

After your registration and signup, you can receive a bonus of 50 percent for your first deposit at KTO. The new customer bonus is limited to 50 Euros, which is why a deposit of 100 Euros already activates the complete new customer bonus. A first deposit of more than 100 euros is therefore unnecessary in my view. Since the bonus is activated directly by the deposit, you do not need a bonus code.

On the other hand, the bonus and turnover conditions of KTO are a bit more cumbersome. On the website you will read that the entire bonus amount and your deposit amount must be wagered at least 6 times in sports betting within 30 days. However, KTO has decided to categorically exclude single and system bets. So only combined bets contribute to the turnover requirements, whereby each selection must have a minimum odds of 1.20 and the total odds of the betting slip must be at least 2.00. Also, you cannot win an unlimited amount with your welcome bonus. The maximum amount you can win with the full KTO bonus of 50 euros is 1,000 euros. The maximum winnings are limited to 20 times the bonus.

VIP & Loyalty Programme

I was very disappointed with KTO’s loyalty program. Based on the amount of the new customer offer, I already didn’t expect an overly attractive VIP or loyalty program, but unfortunately my low expectations were even undercut.

Unfortunately, KTO does not currently offer a program that rewards your loyalty or activity. This also applies to any combo boosts or similar bonus promotions that are usually offered – Season ally for certain events by other bookmakers.

This is definitely disappointing, even though customer service promised me that the range of promotions at KTO will be expanded in the coming months. What that will look like in the future, however, is anyone’s guess.

Betting offer

When it comes to the sports betting offer, you will be able to notice that KTO is not a real newcomer. Over 55 different betting markets are offered to you, whereby I should clearly state that KTO has fanned out some betting markets, so that the actual betting offer is significantly larger to the eye.

Despite the presumed breadth of the betting offer, one can hardly discover any surprising betting markets at KTO. The action is dominated by soccer and other ball sports, such as tennis or basketball.

Keeping in mind the demands and ideas of German customers, you can be satisfied with the depth of popular betting markets: For soccer in Germany, for example, all three Bundesligen (including Frauen-Bundesligen 1 und 2) are available with various other betting options. In addition, you can place your bets on the match days of the regional leagues and selected games of the upper leagues.

Of course, the number of further betting options decreases significantly in the lower divisions. The situation is similar with sports that are more likely to be classified in the second or third tier and have significantly less presence in Europe.

E-sports are also represented at KTO, but they are not advertised extensively. Among others, you can place bets on League of Legends, King of Glory or Overwatch. In my opinion, the company will try to focus more on these markets in the future. KTO has also made some optimizations to stabilize the markets in recent months.

Live bets

KTO’s solid sports betting offer is supported by an appealing selection of live bets. No question, KTO’s focus here is also on European ball sports. Especially soccer, of course. Therefore, there are hardly any big differences to be discovered between the prematch area and the live betting offer. According to my KTO experience, you can be fully satisfied with the variety of live bets. In addition to popular sports, live bets on e-sports or a variety of winter sports are also possible. The depth of the betting markets is also anything but weak and surprisingly positive from my point of view.

For each live event, KTO of course also offers you various statistics and data on the course of the game. Compared to other sports betting providers, however, KTO falls a bit short. The visual presentation of the live data is unfortunately not on the highest level and seems rather unclear. This is also due to the fact that some graphics and banners are out of place and take the focus away from the real-time animations of the game.

Furthermore, you have to do without livestreams at KTO. Unfortunately, KTO does not offer live streams and has instead opted to use live data and statistics exclusively. At least these can be accessed on all mobile devices and are not linked to a minimum balance.

To give you the most thorough overview of the odds and the attractiveness of KTO’s betting offer, I have researched two detailed odds keys for you in our KTO review. To make things as simple as possible and minimize as much as possible any distortions caused by odds outliers, I randomly took ten different betting odds as indicators. Here is the betting odds key to the soccer betting market that I was able to infer based on betting odds on the current matchday of the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga:

The value definitely does not meet the highest standards, but for you the value should be satisfactory, especially since you do not have to pay any betting tax at KTO. In order to be able to assess other betting markets of KTO, I have also researched ten current betting odds on the NBA and the basketball market:

As expected, the payout ratio for basketball bets is depressed, but a value of 93.21 percent is not really strikingly negative. Thus, KTO cannot offer you top odds, but paired with the missing betting tax, the company can definitely present itself as an appealing alternative.

Betting Features

In addition to appealing betting odds, KTO is also constantly striving to offer you as many modern betting features as possible. This is good news for you, of course, because KTO offers you a full cashout, for example. You can not only sell the entire betting slip to KTO at the latest betting odds, but also make a partial cashout as a partial cashout. According to the customer service, the bookmaker always tries to be up-to-date and will continue to add all innovative betting features to its portfolio in the future.

While this is not the very largest selection, personally I think it is more than sufficient. A good mix of traditional payment methods and fast e-wallets, such as Neteller. All deposits are also free of charge and up to 10,000 euros.

Before you request a withdrawal, you should first fully verify your account. You can do this directly through your customer account on the withdrawal page via the green button. Acceptable documents are a bank statement, an official invoice letter from the last three months and a copy of your ID card/passport or driver’s license. All files must be in JPG, PNG, GIF or PDF format and no larger than 3 MB.

All withdrawals are also free of charge, but limited to 5,000 euros per week.

My experience with the first deposit, the bonus activation and the payout
For you, I have also taken a closer look at the provider KTO in terms of registration, deposit and withdrawal. I can tell you from the beginning that you can expect a surprise at the end of my little test.

But first of all about the registration. The creation of my account at KTO.com was as usual uneventful. Most providers have now developed registration procedures that take the interested player no more than a few minutes before he or she can plunge into the world of sports betting.

The deposit process also represented one of the better casino experiences. I decided to make a deposit via Paysafecard in the amount of 30 euros. Due to the clear specifications, it is also easy for beginners to deposit money into their account here. Pleasantly, although now widespread, KTO.com does not charge any fees on players’ deposits.

However, the first weaknesses in the provider’s concept are already revealed in the bonus activation process. The bonus activation did not happen automatically for me. I had to contact customer service to inquire about what caused the bonus activation to fail. The support quickly responded to my inquiry and activated the bonus for me. This was an unnecessary hassle for the customer, but by no means a disaster – after all, my bonus was then activated.

Withdrawals

However, a full-blown problem arose during the payout: I could not have my 30 euro balance paid out to me again. Even after I had waived bonuses and any winnings, a payout in the amount of 30 euros was simply not possible. The minimum payout amount was namely 100 euros – all smaller amounts are simply not paid out. This means that this provider is unfortunately not suitable for beginners and newcomers. Although you can claim the bonus with less than 100 euros. However, a withdrawal of this balance is not possible unless you meet the bonus conditions.

Overall, KTO.com presents itself well, but I cannot recommend it to players who want to play with smaller amounts because of the really high minimum payout amount. However, all other players who play with amounts above the 100 euro limit anyway can confidently fall back on the bookmaker.

Reputation & Security

Especially with a relatively new provider, you should always pay attention to security aspects. This is especially true here, because KTO has only been active in Europe since 2019. One thing in advance: Yes, KTO is a safe bookmaker.

Since 2019, the sports betting provider has been operating with a gambling license from the gambling authority on Curaçao. Although the gambling authority on Curaçao is located outside the EU, the license is nevertheless a valid licensing in Europe. Other gambling authorities, on the other hand, evoke more security, but a license from Curaçao is not an aspect that should speak against registering with KTO.

After all, KTO has to meet some requirements in order to maintain the license. These include SSL encryption technology, which is used for your security in all transactions and general data transmission. KTO also stands for responsible gambling. This means that you can set your personal limits in your betting account and also have a time window to update these limits. However, if you have any major problems, you can contact customer service at any time and ask for your account to be deactivated. Customer Service will handle your request confidentially and will respond to your request immediately. However, according to the provider, the request for self-exclusion or “time-out” can be revoked after a waiting period of seven days. Finally, I have to note negatively that there are unfortunately no seals or links to known support organizations, such as GamCare, available on the website.

Service & Support

During my KTO test phase, I also took a closer look at the company’s customer service. You can reach KTO’s customer support via live chat, email, and a paid hotline.

You can contact the live chat every day between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. CET via the website. However, since KTO only has a few German-speaking employees in its team, you may have to wait a little longer for a suitable employee. In my experience with KTO, the waiting time – especially on weekends – can be up to five minutes. In terms of quality, however, I had no problems with the live chat team. All my questions were answered in a targeted and understandable manner. Unfortunately, however, I missed the option to upload my documents directly in the live chat and thus send them directly to an employee.

In addition, I also tested the KTO support by mail. This can be reached via a contact form on the website of the sports betting provider, whereby the response time is stated as up to 24 hours. I can also confirm this. My inquiries were usually answered in detail within 18 hours. However, if you are not completely satisfied, you can also pick up the phone and call the customer service. From a German perspective, however, it is annoying that the telephone customer service is staffed exclusively by English-speaking employees.

A FAQ, which summarizes the most frequently asked questions, is not yet available and will be added in the future, according to the customer service.

Functions & Design

The usability of the website and its design also played an important role in my KTO experience report. Is the website user-friendly or is there still more room for improvement in the coming months?

Visually, KTO’s website is appealing. The design is classically kept in a dark tone, with four columns displayed at once instead of three. The left column displays the betting program and all betting markets as usual, while your betting slip is implemented on the right side. In the two middle columns, on the other hand, your selected betting markets and other betting options for your selected event/game are displayed. Traditionally for betting providers that operate rather outside of Europe and place significantly more emphasis on the usability of a website than on an orderly structure and high overview.

The loading times on the website are very appealing. The betting program can be quickly accessed through individual filters, whereby in my view the presentation of live betting is the most appealing. All betting markets for live betting are displayed almost shockingly fast. Of course, this is extremely helpful for you, as you don’t have to expect any delays in placing your bets and can act quickly if you have found an attractive betting odds.

KTO’s sports betting program is offered in nine different languages. In addition to German, you can choose from English, American, Japanese, Norwegian, Spanish, Portuguese, Finnish and Arabic versions of the website.
