Rainbow Six Siege Clash of Nations: Team ORGLESS – Famous Name in eSports

Orgless: The German finalist for the Rainbow Six Siege Clash of Nations. © Twitter: XMG

Unlike the competitor from Austria, the German team Orgless can look back on a quite a long history which goes far beyond the national Rainbow Six Siege scene. The portfolio of the team, which was founded in 2018, now includes several participations in Majors and a respectable appearance at the Six Invitational 2018 in Montreal, at that time still under the flag of 1UPeSport. At that time, the troupe around mastermind Niklas “KS” Massierer not only as best team in Germanybut as a real contender for one of the top spots. Unfortunately, however, the team found itself in a group with the Large caliber Penta and Evil Geniuses who would later the tournament as first and second place winners.

“KS” is still the head of the team and, as IGL (in-game leader), now leads his squad in the Pro League to victory. According to media reports internal problems and numerous changes to the roster however, have meant that the shine of yesteryear, when great German hopes Maurice “AceeZ” Erkelenz and Lucas “Hungry” Reich joined Orgless, has faded somewhat. Nevertheless, the German top team lived up to its reputation more than justified in the course of the German Nationals. Parallel to Gamescom 2019, the final round was held at DOCK.ONE in Cologne – with prominent participants on board.

In addition to Orgless, the German-British powerhouse Fierce Esports who “KS”, “Lazzo” and Co. had to play in the semifinals. A convincing performance on Kafe Dostoyevsky quickly put Orgless on the road to success. Fierce then snatched a narrow 7:5 victory on Club House, which was quickly forgotten on the final map. Here, too, Orgless set a first sign and was able to win the semi-final after a walk-through on the bench.. In the grand final of the German Nationals, however, a completely different caliber awaited the troops.

Even if the Mixed team spaghetti carbonara had only spontaneously come together, the guys around the Italian pro Davide “Fratelli” Federico were able to give a mighty headwind. On Bank and Kafe Dostoyevsky, two narrow wins were enough for Orgless to go 2-0 up, but it got really exciting on Villa, where a gripping fight for the win loomed on the horizon. In the end, the opponent was able to win by a razor-thin margin and raise new hopes – but in vain, as it turned out on the last map, Consulate. Here Orgless showed all his class and decided the last map and thus the match for himself. 5.000€ richer and with a proud chest Orgless moved into the Clash of Nations at Dreamhack 2020 on.

With mYinsanity, the most successful eSports organization in Switzerland is in the semi-finals of the Clash of Nations. From Counter Strike to Simulator.: myInsanity was launched in 2009 and has since built up a wide range of e-sports titles with numerous teams. The organization has gained a foothold in the shooter sector in particular, after all its roots lie in the competitive Counter Strike: Source and Call of Duty scenes. At the same time Adrian “ScooTer” Gerber, mainly responsible for mYinsanity, and his team also do not resist new trends. Together with Samsung, the club searched in 2018 for a Fortnite talent in Switzerland and found the perfect match in Niels “MrCrandy” Craandjik.

Also the in-house Rainbow Six Siege team is one of the comparatively new members of the Swiss organization. In March 2019, the club announced that from now on it would also be mixing up Ubisoft’s popular e-sports title. Marco “Shark” Arnold has held the role of captain and IGL in this to date and already led the roster in the first year to the Top of the Alpine Republic. Since the founding of the team, the roster has remained stable. The team has only had one departure so far. Only recently Flex player Joshua “BLZRT” Schäublin replaced e-sports legend Christopher “EarlyBird” Earle. Curious: Despite this, they met again during the Swiss Nationals, because “EarlyBird” was one of the commentators of the event.

On the Zurich Game Show his ex-team had to prove that even without him they are one of the best R6S squads the Confederation has to offer. Besides mYinsanity competed on September 14 and 15 mainly mixed teams competed to snatch the crown and thus the ticket to the Clash of Nations. In the semi-finals, Team Volito E.C. was first on the menu for “Shark” and his boys. What at first glance looked like a clear affair for mYinsanity, however, developed into a real fight. Only with two narrow victories on Coastline and Kafe Dostoyevsky the team could enter the final. But there, too, MY initially fell behind 0:2. But the well-rehearsed squad proved its nerve and finally managed to win the game with a reverse sweep. title as the best Swiss R6S team get. 2.500€ prize money and the entry into the Clash of Nations are the reward for the hard work of the team.
