Ubisoft’s development team of Rainbow Six Siege (from7,99at) has announced the “Year 6 Roadmap”, central changes to the gameplay and further updates for the online shooter. According to pcgamer.com, one important change is that the Year Pass (for $30) has been discontinued and the operators will be unlocked in the Battle Pass in the future.
The new scheme is scheduled to launch in the upcoming “Crimson Heist” – Season . The Argentine attacker Flores with his remote-controlled explosive gat will be unlocked for $10 as part of the Battle Pass at first. After a two-week exclusivity period, Flores will also be available for the usual 25,000 Renown or 600 R6 credits (five dollars). Those who want to receive all new operators immediately upon their release will have to pay the annual price of 40 dollars (i.e. four pesos per year). Of course, Battle Pass also gives you the option of unlocking any cosmetics and boosters that are included – or R6 credits.
Also announced were collaborations with the Rick and Morty and Resident Evil series, including a “Zofia Elite Skin” inspired by Jill from Resident Evil, according to the magazine. Ubisoft explained:
“Ubisoft announced during the Rainbow Six Siege Community & Game Celebration, the plans for the future of Siege. The continuous support and enhancements that the studio has provided in recent years for Tom Clancyâs Rainbow Six Siege, will continue in Year 6 and in the future. Over the course of the year, changes will be made to core gameplay, new features to encourage positive behavior, quality of experience improvements and a comprehensive roadmap for Year 6, as well as the nationality of new operators and revamped maps.
Rainbow Six Siege has already brought several updates during Year 5, including core updates such as match replay, color correction adjustments, six operators and a complete overhaul of Tachanka and much more. Ubisoft’s long-standing commitment continues in Year 6 to provide all players with a more tactical, fair and stable gaming experience.

This – Season will be playable on the PC test server starting tomorrow. – Season 2 introduces an operator from the Nakoda nations and the revised map Favela. The – Season 3 operator is from Croatia. Ubisoft’s long-standing commitment continues in Year 6 to provide all players with a more tactical, fair and stable experience. Ubisoft’s long-standing commitment to providing a more tactical, fair and stable gaming experience for all players continues in Year 6.
PLAYER BEHAVIOR
The first version of the reputation system was tested in the past new – Season in the background, which was not visible to players. The goal of this tool is to encourage positive behavior in the game by rewarding players with positive influence on the game with in-game content, while punishing negative behavior by, for example, restricting access to ranked matches. This tool will now be visible to players to inform them how to increase their personal score and improve their behavior. The tool will be introduced during Year 6.
Since streamers are an important part of the community, a streamer mode has been created that allows content creators to monitor their anonymity while playing. Using this tool, streamers can hide their name, region, and ping, hide all other players in the match, and set a hidden matchmaking delay. In addition, the current share level and profile picture can be hidden. A first version of this feature is available on the Crimson Heist test server.
CORE GAMEPLAY UPDATES
A new secondary weapon appears in Rainbow Six Siege â the Gonne-6. This secondary weapon with one shot in the magazine is capable of destroying all bulletproof gadgets, offers a new selection option and thus allows new tactical possibilities. The first version of the Gonne-6 is available for Operator Glaz, Dokkaebi, Lion, Finka, Gridlock, Amaru, Iana and Zero on the Crimson Heist test server.
Operators are now able to control cameras and gadgets after their death. This change was made to improve the support phase in the match. This allows eliminated operators to better support their team. This feature is planned for a later date in Year 6.
Another feature allows attackers to switch operators and equipment as often as they like during the preparation phase. This serves to balance attack and defense and make scouting more tactical. This feature is planned for Year 6.
As a final gameplay update, rstung will be changed to health, giving players a better view of how much total damage they can take. This feature is planned for Year 6.
QUALITY OF LIFE
In addition, quality of use improvements are planned for Year 6: DDoS attacks, which have already decreased by 90% this year, will continue to be a focus so that the gaming experience can be improved. The engineering team is working closely with our partner, Microsoft Azure, to reduce matchmaking time more and improve server stability. Last but not least, the development team is trying to reduce the greenness of the game in general. This is an ongoing effort that is already underway and will become more visible to players as the year progresses.
ADAPTATION
Operators get more customization options in Year 6: Elite skins can be customized and other equipment can be added to the outfit to create a completely custom equipment set.
In a surprise move, Ubisoft announced a partnership with Capcom and their Resident Evil⢠survival horror franchise: an Elite skin inspired by Resident Evil veteran Jill Valentine for Zofia and more Resident Evil X Rainbow Six Siege skins are planned for Year 6. Ubisoft has also teamed up with Creative Director Ikumi Nakamura to present a wide range of new skins, initially for Echo and Dokkaebi, which will be released on March 2.
(…)
Ubisoft announced the full content of the first – Season of Tom Clancyâs Rainbow Six Siege Year 6: Crimson Heist. The new – Season introduces Flores, a new operator from Argentina who can join the Rainbow Six team. In addition, a complete overhaul of the map Border will appear, as well as new features and elite skins.
Crimson Heist introduces a brand new attacker: Flores. Flores is equipped with a unique gadget, the RCE Ratero, which allows him to place a remote-controlled explosive gat in front of his fen and control it over the map for a limited time. If the timer goes off (or Flores interrupts it himself), the gat arms, becomes bulletproof, and activates a short timer before exploding. Flores can be equipped with either an AR33 or an SR-25 as a primary weapon, and a GSH-18 as a secondary weapon.
In addition to the new operator, the map border has been completely reworked and now has an interior balcony that connects the east staircase to the break room. The bathroom has also been expanded and is connected to the counters. The revision brings a new challenging environment with blocked entrances, less destructible walls and additional outdoor stairs.
With the new – Season also comes a new secondary weapon, the âGonne-6â. This new weapon does little damage to soft walls and operators. This secondary should counter the challenges of the â20-second metaâ and the defense meta present in Year 5. In addition, additional updates presented in the Future of Siege will be implemented in the Crimson Heist test server to receive feedback from players: Match Replay Beta and Streamer Mode.
In addition, the new elite skin for Kali: Masterframe Prototype I can be viewed. This will be released on February 22.
The Crimson Heist test server will be accessible from February 22. The test server is an alternate version of Tom Clancyâs Rainbow Six Siege that allows everyone to test upcoming gameplay features before they make their way into the main game. Since this is a test environment, no consistent gameplay experience can be guaranteed on the test server. Players are welcome to submit issues that arise on the test server to the R6 Fix platform.[Link: hier].”
