Year 7, Season 2 Expectations – Rainbow Six: Siege

Operation Vector Glare launches on June 7 with a new member for Team Rainbow, the “Close Quarter” map, and new onboarding tools. Perennial hit Tom Clancy’s : Siege is entering its second – Season , now in its seventh year. Operation Vector Glare is the name of the new – Season , which is scheduled to start on June 7.

Operation Vector Glare puts to the forefront with Sens: the R.O.U projector system device uses a wheel that moves in a straight line to leave behind small projectors that self-destruct after a set amount of time. The projectors create a wall of light that blocks the view of those playing the game, making Sens exceedingly versatile. Sens’ kit brings a new weapon, the POF-9 or a 417 as a primary weapon and an SDP 9MM or a GONNE-6 as a secondary weapon.

In addition to Sens, a new exclusive map for Team Deathmatch mode is also coming with the start of the new – Season . Close Quarter is the first dedicated map for Team Deathmatch mode that focuses on movement rather than defense buildup and is set in Greece. Year 7 – Season 2 sees the arrival of Phase 1 of the reputation system. In this update, Reverse Friendly Fire is automatically activated for those who injure too many team members. Game enders will receive two warnings before the punishment is activated and penalties will be deactivated after several games without injury to their own team members. Other innovations are directed against those who abuse the system to break off matches.

Two onboarding tools will be added this – Season : The Shooting Range, a playable area to practice, train and experiment with weapon damage, attachments and recoil without feeling the pressure of a real match and find the best equipment. Also introduced are the Operator Guides, which inform players about each operator, explain their unique abilities, and explain equipment and any for attack or defense strategies.

Ubisoft has also partnered with SEGA and their Yakuza franchise to create two exclusive skin bundles for . A bundle inspired by Kaoru Sayama will be available for Hibana and a bundle inspired by Kiryo Kazuma will be available for Echo. Additionally, a new Elite design for Echo inspired by another iconic character from the Yakuza games will be available soon.

In addition, Operation Vector Glare will introduce the Squad Up Reactivation program: Gamers will be able to invite up to four former squad members who have not yet played during Year 7. After five games together, in any PvP mode, all players will receive large rewards. Invitees will receive rewards for each of their four friends who complete the program: rewards may include Year 6 Operators, a new exotic weapon design, or other substitute rewards such as Battle Pass points if they already own those Operators. All invited players will unlock a Year 4 or Year 5 Operator or other replacement rewards after five matches played.
