WoW Toy Box Guide – Toys over Professions

Brand self-made is always the most beautiful, and this is also true for the toys in World of Warcraft. Over 20 toys can be made through professions alone, and most of them can be obtained through archaeology.

Filling the toy box in World of Warcraft is a mammoth project. Buying them all together or farming mobs for days would be too easy. You need a lot of money, a lot of reputation, and a lot of skill. And by skill, we mean advanced professions. Check out our ToyBox Professions to find out what toys you can make with the different professions. Four professions will make you a toymaker – Engineering, Jewelcrafting, Archaeology, and Fishing. You want to see your pretty night elf healer without her robe? Then the gnomish x-ray glasses will help you. Knock out Kazzak in the rain? Oh no! Better check the weather with the Kaldorei wind chimes. Engineering
Engineers are THE place to go when it comes to pointless inventions, gadgets and gizmos. The tinkerers can make six toys, five of which are at least tradable. Only three toys can be used by non-engineers.

Fishing
Once a day, in addition to various fishing rods and pets, you have the opportunity to dust off another toy – the strange brass compass. To date, the compass is a random item in a bag full of fished treasures. There is one as a reward for completing daily angel quests, but only for those in Dalaran (Wrath of the Lich King).

Jewelcrafting
The Flaming Diamond Pendant beckons as a reward for completing the “Diamonds Are Forever” quest. The quest line is not difficult, does not take long, and is triggered by a quest item found in the loot of any mob in any zone of Draenor – provided you are playing

a) is playing a Horde character (and is at least level 90)
and b) have mastered the craft of jewelcrafting; a skill of 1 is sufficient.
If you don’t meet even one of these two requirements, you can beat up as many enemies in Draenor as you want – you won’t see the quest item. the Filigree Crimson Pendant !

Archaeology
If you dig diligently, unearthing fragments and assembling them into complete artifacts, you will eventually expand your toy chest by up to 13 items. Theoretically, you need a maximum skill of 425 points to dig up at least the fragments of Tol’vir. However, by the time you’ve collected all the rare artifacts, you’ve probably exceeded 700 skill points twice. A small tip: If you collect MoP or WoD artifacts and pack them in boxes, you can buy fragments of ancient races for them. This is much more pleasant and faster than flying through the old zones!
