WoW: The top 5 most disliked raids of all time

Yesterday we picked out the hottest raids – yours and ours. Today, we’re turning the tables and taking a look at the raids where Blizzard has somehow gone down the toilet a bit, be it for gameplay or perhaps purely visual reasons.

Raids, the 2nd! We have selected our favorite raids from almost 11.5 years of World of Warcraft. It wasn’t easy, because there are so many great raids out there, and choosing just five proved to be more difficult than I thought. And we also wanted to know from you which five candidates would be on your personal podium. Today we turn the tables, because as great as many of the vaults, palaces and cave systems were or are, they got on our nerves, or at least some of them did. That’s why today we’re not only choosing our personal top 5 least favorite raids, we also want to hear from you again which raids are parked at the bottom of your popularity scale. And because it was so nice yesterday,

1. the dragon soul: The structure may make lore-technically sense, but more than half of the raid from old areas (dragon light, Wyrmrest temple, eye of eternity) to stick together … naaah. Some of the combat mechanics of the individual boss fights were actually quite interesting, but in the end there were still a paltry eight bosses that took us an eternity to deal with.
2. Citadel: The HfZ also offered interesting bosses, but after Battle for Orgrimmar and Blackrock Foundry, both of which I liked very much, the air was simply out here. In fact, it was the third Orc instance in a row, just with a bit of green fire and demons.
3. Battle of Mount Hyjal: I found and still find the setting of the raid really cool. Having to replay all the waves of trash over and over again after each wipe was hell and real practice was impossible.
4. Trial of the Crusader: The other extreme – no trash, but five bosses on a conveyor belt. Laziness > 9,000!!!
5. Blackwing Descent: The same faces, over and over again – how many times should we knock Ony out?
The weakest raids of all times – this is what the colleagues say

Philipp: 1. dragon soul, 2. the test of the crusader, 3. high , 4. the ruby sanctuary, 5. terrace of the endless spring
Sebastian: All the little raids
Karsten: 1. Ahn’Qiraj (AQ40), 2. Cave of the Serpent Shrine, 3. Storm Castle, 4. Sanctuary of the Ruby, 5. Trial of the Crusader
Veronica: 1. Battle of Mount Hyjal, 2. Molten Core, 3. Icecrown Citadel, 4. Black Temple, 5. Battle of Orgrimmar (note: “Essential, because I’ve played them all so many times I can’t watch them anymore!”)
Tanja:1st Trial of the Crusader (the most boring raid ever!), 2nd Mogu’shan Vault, 3rd Highmouth, 4th Hellfire Citadel, 5th Blackwing Descent (Ony for the third time? No thanks!).

So, done, now it’s your turn! Which of the countless raids in World of Warcraft do you absolutely dislike, and more importantly, why? Was it the visuals, was it the bosses, or was it simply the lack of pizzazz? Write us in the comments, we’re looking forward to your answers!
