WoW: TBC Classic – How much is happening on the servers in the launch month?

WoW: Burning Crusade Classic is just under three weeks old, and we’re taking a look at the number of players who have jumped into the Outland endgame and logged the whole thing in the last ID. Spoiler: The player numbers are still comparatively small.

As you know, on June 2, WoW: Burning Crusade Classic kicked off for us in Europe. But how big was the rush to Outland really? How many people are already fighting their way through the endgame of TBC Classic in the few weeks? And how do the numbers compare to our last report on WoW Classic in April 2021?

To get answers to these questions, we once again check the statistics available to us from Warcraftlogs, evaluated by Ironforge.pro. The most recent numbers are from the last ID from June 09, 2021 to June 16, 2021, covering all characters that appeared in a log for a TBC endgame content during this period. Here are the findings:

  • The US server Whitemane could replace the EU server Gehennas as the biggest Classic server again. 5,811 characters were counted there (in April: 7,415 characters).
  • The EU server Gehennas is now on place 3 (behind Faerlina). 4,909 characters were counted there (in April: 7,258).
  • The largest German TBC Classic server is currently Venoxis, with 3,641 characters (in April: 4,969 – 63 percent Horde).
  • The former largest DE server Everlook was at 2,752 characters (in April 5,095 – with a faction distribution of 73 percent Alliance and 27 percent Horde).
  • The formerly very busy server Lucifron currently comes to 1,689 (instead of 2,504) counted characters (at 100 percent Horde)
  • Razorfen welcomed many new players, guilds and returnees, but this did not yet affect the number of level 70 characters. There were 1,730 (instead of 3,632) active characters (at 52 percent Alliance and 48 percent Horde).
  • Dragon’s Call comes in at 1,410 (down from 2,550) active characters (at 38 percent Alliance and 62 percent Horde).
  • Lakeshire comes to 995 (instead of 3,244) active characters (at 64 percent Alliance and 36 percent Horde)
  • Patchwerk comes to 1,975 (instead of 3,100) active characters (at 34 percent Alliance and 66 percent Horde)
  • Transcendence comes to 1,595 (instead of 2,701) active characters (at 41 percent Alliance and 59 percent Horde)
  • Heartstriker comes to 1,142 (instead of 2,231) active characters (at 100 percent alliance)
  • For Celebras there is data for the first time: 68 characters were counted there on Warcraftlogs, 10 of them on Horde side.
  • A total of 156,671 raid-active characters were counted across the US, EU, and Russia regions (up from 229,568 in April).

Do the comparatively low numbers mean that TBC Classic is significantly less popular than WoW? (buy now ) Classic? No, definitely not. Reason number 1: In the second (and also in the third) ID, there were (and still are) quite a few players who were in the leveling phase or who did the Attunement quests. Reason – No. 2: Many guilds are not logging their Karazhan or 25-player raids at this time. In my guild, for example, four raids have been storming Karazhan for two IDs each. However, only one group has logged the fun so far. There are also no TBC logs for our large raid squad yet. In other words, the number of characters who actually played in the TBC endgame during the above-mentioned period is probably much higher. Our update with the player numbers in July should better reflect the reality on the servers – we will of course then compare the new numbers with the numbers from this report.

Community aggression problems not only in WoW, but also at

Again, there are serious cases of threats against game developers, which is why the makers of Destiny 2 have to take consequences.

With the start of – Season 4 in WoW: Shadowlands, umpteen raid trinkets will be massively buffed to make them stronger than their dungeon counterparts.
