WoW TBC Classic – Fastest route to the Dark Portal Shattrath

Tonight is the launch of WoW: Burning Crusade Classic and we’ll tell you how to get to the Dark Portal and the Outland capital of Shattrath as quickly as possible.

In preparation for the launch of WoW: Burning Crusade Classic tonight, many players will no doubt want to place their characters in front of the Dark Portal later in the day. And as soon as the gate is open, the Outland capital of Shattrath should be the most important point of contact, especially for profession twinks. In this short guide, we’ll tell you how to get to the Dark Portal and Shattrath City as quickly as possible.

The fastest way to the Dark Portal – for the Horde
As is well known, the Dark Portal lies in the south-east of the Blasted Lands. The quickest way for Horde players to reach the zone is via the flight point of the Steinard settlement in the Swamp of Sorrows. To get there quickly if you haven’t unlocked the flight point yet, you have two options:

Number 1: Look for a magician who will take you to Steinard via Portal: Steinard for a small pocket gold.
Number 2: Accept the quest The Dark Portal from your trainer in Orgrimmar . The quest first sends you to Snurk Zasterwill, the zeppelin master. From there it goes via zeppelin to Thysta in the base camp of Grom’gol. Talk to Thysta and you’ll be given the option to fly to Stonard, even though you haven’t actually unlocked the flight point yet.
From Steinard, follow the road west to the crossroads. There you take the path south, which leads you to the Blasted Lands. Follow the road south in this zone as well until you pass the crater in which the dark portal is located. You can then hand in the quest to Warlord Dar’toon and then accept the new quest Through the Dark Portal with the launch .

The fastest way to the Dark Portal – for the Alliance
Of course, Alliance players also have to travel to the Blasted Lands to be able to go through the Dark Portal. In contrast to the Horde, the fighters under the blue lion banner even have a local flight point, in Nethergarde Keep. To get there quickly if you haven’t unlocked the flight point yet, do the following:

Accept the quest The Dark Portal from your trainer in Stormwind . The quest will send you to gryphon master Dungar Drinkfest. Thanks to the quest, you can order a flight to Nethergarde Castle from Dungar even if you haven’t unlocked the corresponding flight point yet.
From the castle, follow the road west and then south until you pass the crater where the Dark Portal stands. You can then hand in the quest to Watch Commander Reldorn Netherschund and then accept the new quest Through the Dark Portal with the launch .

The fastest way to Shattrath
The Outland Capital is a major hub that provides you with the following offerings:

Portals to your faction’s major cities (there are no portals to Shattrath from the cities, however, so bind your Hearthstone in Shattrath!).
Teachers for most professions.
Point of contact for tailoring specialization (from level 60).
Contact for alchemy specialization (from level 68) and alchemy laboratory.
access to the bank.
NPCs for registration for battlegrounds.
Contacts for the Aldor, Seer, Lower City, and Sha’tar factions.
And how are things going to Shattrath now? Well, when it comes to shortcuts, you have the following options (though not at midnight):

Mages learn Portal: Shattrath as part of the level phase .
Have a friendly Warlock port you to Shattrath City.
If you want to venture out on foot, you will pass through three zones:

Let the Dark Portal bring you with the first quests to Thrallmar (Horde) or Honor Hold (Alliance). From there you head west. Unfortunately, there is no safe road that will take you through the entire Hellfire Peninsula. The first part of your journey is correspondingly dangerous. However, if there are other players questing all around you, you should be able to reach Zangamarsh for sure.
Once in Zangamarsh, follow the road to the crossroads in the Cenaric Refuge. From there continue south until you reach the forests of Terrokar.
Access to the forests is not too far from Shattrath City. Stay south here as well until you can enter the capital.

In addition, characters can take up professions, collect pets and mounts, compete against opposing players in battlegrounds and arenas, or simply unwind in the main cities and chat with their guildmates.
