The developers at Blizzard have revealed changes for the championship – Season in WoW Classic on the PTR server. This was mainly about professions and crafting materials to improve the in-game economy.
The championship – Season is turning WoW Classic upside down, which has already shown itself in many an innovation. With a new patch for the PTR, the developers at Blizzard are introducing adjustments that primarily affect crafting professions and thus the in-game economy: Look forward to extra crafts and reduced respawn timers for herbs even before level 60!

In the English forum of Blizzard, WoW Classic game producer Aggrend has presented the following changes that affect the PTR server of the – Season of the championship (translated by us):
Economic adjustments
- We have made adjustments to certain professions and the availability of many craft materials:
- Removed the level 60 requirement for alchemists to receive additional items from successful crafting. Level 300 alchemy is still required to see procs, however.
- Removed the level 60 prerequisite for herbalists to receive black lotus from high-level herbal spawns.
- Successful crafting of Arcanite Ingot, Mooncloth, and Supple Indestructible Bellows now provides additional ingots, cloth, and bellows, respectively.
- The respawn times for almost all herb spawn points have been adjusted significantly. In many cases, the minimum and maximum respawn times have been reduced by half or more. This is in addition to the respawn timer changes made in earlier content phases of the Championship – Season .
- Due to improvements in fishing line technology throughout Azeroth, it is now possible to obtain multiple Firefin Snapper, Oily Blackmouth, and Rockscale Eels with a single successful catch attempt.
- Increased the amount of elemental water, earth, and fire from relevant herbalism and mining nodes.
- Added a chance for more than one Demonic Rune to be dropped at a time by creatures that normally drop Demonic Rune Traps, such as satyrs.
Ahn’Qiraj
- The availability of scarabs, idols, and box keys in the ruins and temple of Ahn’Qiraj has been greatly increased.
Zul’Gurub
- The availability of jewelry and coins from all sources in Zul’Gurub has been greatly increased.
- Hakkar now also drops a supply of trinkets when killed.
