by Karsten Scholz – When the pre-patch of WoW: Burning Crusade Classic is released on May 19, you will not yet be able to enter Outland, but you will still be able to farm the first items from the TBC era.
On May 19, 2021, the pre-patch of WoW: Burning Crusade Classic will be released. It includes a lot of new features for the classes, races and all kinds of game systems. As for all the fresh challenges on Outland, we still have to be patient. Whereby … in fact, it will be possible to farm the first items from the TBC Classic era as early as Wednesday. In the following we will tell you where and how.
On to the mountain pass of the winds of death
As we all know, Burning Crusade not only offered Outland challenges for all Azeroth heroes, but also a previously neglected area was the focus of the first WoW expansion. In the Mountain Pass of the Deadwinds of the Eastern Kingdoms, we found Karazhan, the first 10-player raid of the TBC era.
And indeed, the update for the Mountain Pass of the Winds of the Dead is already coming to the live servers with the pre-patch. Before Karazhan, we meet the three NPCs from the faction “The Violet Eye”, we are allowed to languish at the instance entrance through the bars and mess with level-68 to level-70 enemies in the area before the instance. And these very enemies already have their TBC bag lists, including Nether Fabric.
However, due to the high level of the enemies, you should have very good equipment with decent hit rating. Consumables or even world buffs can’t hurt either. Some classes/specializations should also team up with other players, making fights against the high-level nasties much easier right away.
Pack your fishing rod!
Farm Tip – No. 2: Near Karazhan, there is a river from which you can fish for TBC-era fish. So pack your fishing rod before you travel to the mountain pass. You should have a fishing skill close to 300. Otherwise, a standard fishing rod with +5 fishing skill and the obligatory +75 fishing skill bait will do.
Here are some of the fish you can fish in the river:
- Spiny gill trout => is needed for Steamed trout / Black fried trout.
- Bloodfin Catfish => is needed for Fried Bloodfin
- Electric Eel => is needed for Storm Chops
- Moon skull fish => is needed for skull fish soup
- Gaming mice with cable – tested by PCGH
What is WoW Classic?
World of Warcraft Classic is a true recreation of the original WoW as you know it from 2006. All parts of the game – from combat mechanics and talent trees to character models and zones – have been recreated, contributing to the authentic experience.
Getting Started
All players with an active World of Warcraft subscription or game time on their accounts have access to WoW Classic at no additional cost.
