WoW Guide Warsong Gulch – PvP Tips

Warsong Gulch is located between the Barrens and Ashenvale and, along with Arathi Basin, is one of the oldest battlegrounds in World of Warcraft. The game principle, Capture the Flag, originates from the 3D shooter scene.

Overview
Two teams compete in Warsong Gulch, trying to capture the flag from the enemy base and then bring it across the map to their own flag back to home base. With ten players per team, the battlefield is quite manageable and can be entered from level 10. At level 19, Warsong Gulch is even a popular hobby for many players, as the equipment ratios are the same for everyone and the classes don’t have an excessive arsenal of abilities.

Victory Conditions
The faction that captures three flags wins. However, there is a 25 minute time limit for Warsong Gulch. When the time is up, the team with the most points wins. In the event of a tie, you can still claim victory if you capture the last flag. Only in case of a 0:0 there is no winner – an overtime is not possible either.

Structure and characteristics of the battlefield
Warsong Gulch is almost symmetrical. The Horde and Alliance bases face each other, with a long field between them. Three paths lead to one base. The tunnel in the middle leads directly from the field to the flag room, but you have to walk quite a long way. In the middle of the tunnel, you’ll find a box of speed boots that increase your walking speed by 100 percent for ten seconds. As a flag bearer, you can use them to escape from the enemy base faster, while in your own base you can get to the flag point faster. This is especially helpful when the enemies are busy with other things and you can run for the flag at lightning speed.

At the end of the ramp is a small house where you can find the Berserk spell. With this, you’ll do 30 percent more damage over 60 seconds. The other side of the coin is that you also take ten percent more damage. In some situations, the Berserk spell is very helpful, for example, when the enemy flag bearer has extremely high hit points and you need to deal a lot of damage as quickly as possible to stop him.

Below the graveyard, there is another cottage where you can use the Restoration spell. Among other things, this restores all your hit and mana points over a period of ten seconds. So if you run out of breath after a long fight, you can refresh yourself here.
