In a series of solo battles in the arenas in Stormwind or Orgrimmar, you can prove yourself and climb eight ranks within the Brawler’s Guild. Each rank offers you a number of PvE bosses to defeat.

In our guide to the fighting guild we want to give you tips and information about the bosses of the fighting guild. Of course we start with the still quite simple rank 1, where you can expect some introductory fights. If you’re wondering how you actually get access to the Brawler’s Guild, check out our article on the Bloodied Invitations that have been in-game since WoW Patch 5.1.

WoW: The Battle Guild Tier 1 – Bruce

  1. Powerful bite
  2. Mmm mmm mmm

The first opponent of the fighting guild answers to the auspicious name Bruce. It is a crocolisk of unknown origin that “acquired” from the fighting guild. If you’ve encountered the crocolisk Chomptooth during the daily quests in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, you already know that this species’ gluttony is their undoing. Position yourself in your corner and begin your usual damage rotation. Once Bruce reaches you, he will attack you with Powerful Bite, dealing 100% normal damage and reducing your armor by 20% for 5 seconds. The armor debuff is stackable. To prevent this or to let the debuff run out, you can use snare or other control abilities to keep Bruce at bay.

Every few seconds (every six seconds at the earliest), Bruce casts the ability “Mjam Mjam Mjam”, which deals 475,000 to 525,000 damage with three quick attacks to the front. To avoid this, simply dodge to the side or back in a wide area. If you don’t manage to get away in time, this is your certain death. You can recognize the preparation for Mjam Mjam Mjam by a faint orange glow and by the fact that his jaw will open. Also, Bruce will stop other attacks.

While the crocolisk is engaged in its feeding frenzy, it remains motionless for a few seconds. This is your chance: from your safe place you can dish out damage or heal your wounds in peace. Then you have to keep Bruce at a distance again until “Mjam Mjam Mjam” gives you the next breathing space. A simple kite tactic, but one that needs to be executed properly as Bruce’s mighty teether cause a fair amount of damage.

WoW: The Battle Guild Tier 1 – Vian the Flighty

  1. line of fire
  2. Fleeting Flames
  3. lava eruption

The mogu shaman Vian the Flighty tries to heat you up, which is only partially pleasant despite the cold – Season . Vian’s ability “Line of Fire” creates a line of fire below you, from the area of effect (three meters) you should immediately move. In addition to dealing direct damage, these lines of fire also leave behind a burning effect that deals additional damage. Pay attention to the remaining fire areas on the ground, which you should avoid if possible. Vian also conjures Volatile Flames that whiz through the arena, gradually filling the room.

If you come into contact with one of these flaming balls, you receive 100,000 points of fire damage. Touching one of the orbs increases Vian’s casting speed. Make sure that neither your character nor Vian come into contact with the volatile flames unplanned. Both abilities are uninterruptible, unlike the Lava Burst spell, which deals about 25,000 damage. It is still advisable not to interrupt him, otherwise Vian will switch to melee attacks with his staff, which cause significantly more damage.

WoW: The Battle Guild Tier 1 – Blood Antlers

  1. Heavy Assault

Fighting Bloodant Antlers is simple and easy. Exactly what you would expect from a match between a made hero of Azeroth and a beast. The Shoveltusk only has one special attack: “Clumsy Charge”. An area on the ground is marked with a red circle and an arrow above it. You should quickly remove yourself from this area, since blood antlers will storm the spot shortly afterwards. If he manages to take you on his horns, you are dead immediately. The melee attacks of your future hunting trophy are also quite tough. It is best to keep the Nordic game at a constant distance, then the fight should not cause any problems.

WoW: The Battle Guild Tier 1 – Jailer Vishas

  1. Glowing pokers
  2. Nasty secrets

may we introduce James Vishas, Jailer. Look familiar? Rightly so! This unwelcome fellow was once at home in the Scarlet Monastery, famous for its sadism and brutal methods of torture. For your “interrogation” Vishas uses two glowing pokers, which deal 46,250 to 53,750 points of damage with each melee attack. As soon as Vishas starts casting the buff of the same name, you should either interrupt him immediately or flee. He must not hit you with this buff in close combat under any circumstances, otherwise you will be in the dust quite quickly.

Use slow effect, stun, or other movement-impairing abilities to keep him at a distance. The second spell, Nasty Secrets, deals Shadow damage and applies a stacking debuff that increases incoming Shadow damage. In theory, the spell is something like a hidden enrage timer, but in practice you don’t need to worry about it.
