The Arachnid District is not very different from the Plague District in terms of difficulty, and is one of the easier districts in the Necropolis of Naxxramas, which hovers over the Dragon Blackness. For a 10-man squad, we recommend the following setup:

Two tanks: you need two tanks for all enemies except Maexxna. Paladins and Death Knights have the advantage especially against Anub’Rekhan and Maexxna, as they use their splash damage to attack spiders and corpse scarabs.

Three Healers: Brave raiders venture into the Arachnid Quarter with two healers. If you want to play it safe, invite three healers. Classes that can remove poison effects are especially useful.

Five damage dealers: A hunter is not required for Anub’Rekhan, but is helpful. Classes that deal area damage also have an advantage. In principle, however, you are not limited in your choice.

In addition to patrols of various poisonous scurriles that you fight with area damage, you will encounter groups with several larger spiders.

First kill the Dread Crawlers, which will use up your curse healing spells. Then it’s the turn of the carrion spiders. They like to pull the tank towards them. In the room to your left is Anub’Rekhan’s small room.

After you defeat Anub’Rekhan, the grate opens and you can go deeper into the spider’s wing.

In the next room, familiar standard enemies await you again, now supported by Tomb Horrors with no special abilities.

Further back, dark necro stalkers cross your path. Take advantage of the space in the corridors, because these spiders like to attack a player. This player and all other players nearby will receive a deadly poison that you can remove.

After that, you are already in front of Faerlina’s chamber, where her followers are gathering. These appear in groups of eight, hitting you mainly with area damage. The acolytes use Arcane Explosions and Shadow Lightning Volleys, while the cultists throw you around with Shadow Strike. The best motto here is: Fight fire with fire, because with the low number of hit points of the followers, you can also use area damage.

After eliminating the cultist, you’ll pass by some already familiar spider enemies again. After a large door, you’ll find yourself in the outer ring of Naxxramas. Keep to the left to fight spiders again.

Invisible creatures also find their way here. Warlocks have an advantage here, as they can detect invisible enemies with their buff. The wraiths only attack with volleys of shadow lightning, but can still be very nasty in combination with other enemies. After a few groups, you’ll see a large net leading through a hole to Maexxna’s dungeon.

What is WoW Classic?

World of Warcraft Classic is a true recreation of the original WoW as you know it from 2006. All parts of the game – from combat mechanics and talent trees to character models and zones – have been recreated, contributing to the authentic experience.

Getting Started

All players with an active World of Warcraft subscription or game time on their accounts have access to Wow Classic at no additional cost.

1. Open the Blizzard Battle.net Desktop App and select World of Warcraft from the menu.
2. Select World of Warcraft Classic from the Version menu. If you have more than one World of Warcraft account, you’ll see a second Account drop-down list. In this column, select the active account you want to play with.
3. Click the Install button. The progress bar will tell you when your game is ready to play.
4. Click the Play button when the installation is complete.

You will need to select the realm you want to play on from several different realm types. Make sure you choose the same realm as your friends – in World of Warcraft Classic, you can only group with characters that are on the same realm as you!
