The fortress of Drak’Tharon is located between the Northrend regions of Grizzly Hill and Zul’Drak. The closest escape point is in the Light Aisle in Zul’Drak – the keep is south of the neutral base. You can only get the quests for Drak’Tharon in the Grizzly Hills.

Achievements for this instance
Default opponents in this instance:
* Scourge Revivalists, Soul Mages, and Drakkari Warrior groups: Take care of the Soul Mages first, as they will summon an empty zone where you will take significant damage. Then take apart the warriors and finally the resurrectors.
* Ghouls: The ghouls deal significant melee damage, so take them out of the fight if you control the enemy, especially in larger groups.
* Poison Belt: The tank turns the poison belts away from the group to spare them the frontal, cone attacks.
* Spiders: When the crawlers are low on health, slow or stun them so they can’t call for reinforcements.
* Drakkari Bats and Field Riders: The riders cast a curse that increases the Cursed’s melee damage by 500 points. Remove the curse if you have an escort in your party.
* Ascended Guide and Drakkari Sickle Claw: The Riders immobilize you with cobwebs and target you with ranged attacks. The raptors have no special attacks.
* Groups of Shamans and Drakkari commanders: destroy the Shamans first so they can’t heal. Beware of the whirlwind attack of the commanders.
* Risen Drakkari Death Knights: The Death Knights will occasionally use silence and fear effects on you. Therefore, pull them back to a safe distance from other enemies.
