In the upcoming expansion, we can once again look forward to a whole bunch of new weapons and armor for our closet. WoW: Dragonflight also brings some very special cosmetic items into the game. How about going into battle with two forks?
Shortly after the closet was introduced in Legion in its current form, WoW developers started bringing purely cosmetic items into the game. These weapons and armor pieces have no stats and are not usable in combat. However, the look is saved in your closet and you can transfer it to your created equipment thanks to the transmog feature.
Over time, the Blizzard developers realized that these cosmetic items make excellent rewards for all sorts of in-game content. Today, there’s hardly a feature where you can’t pick up new and wacky templates alongside mounts, pets, and toys. This is also changing in WoW (buy now ): Dragonflight not. There wait for example in the new faction fame system some cosmetic items, but they can also be found in other places. And the developers are getting more and more creative.

Cutlery and garden tools instead of sword and axe
Many of the rewards are already implemented in the alpha, but cannot yet be captured or purchased. But if the data is there, then it’s only a matter of time before the dataminers find and dig up the appropriate optics. That’s exactly what they have done now and once again found some funny templates.
For example, at the cooking teacher in the new capital Valdrakken you can buy two daggers that are not only called forks, but also look like one – once in wide and once in narrow.

The Healing Gardener, on the other hand, gives you a couple of staves and a dagger, in case you ever want to hook the war craft. Because the look (and the name) rather do not correspond to what you go to war with. Instead, you get various shovels, a rake and a hoe in your hand.

How do you like the new “weapon” templates? Do you think RP players can do something with them, or would you rather wield a fork than a dagger even in the raid? Or do you dislike such abstruse templates and wish the designers would invest their time in stylish swords and maces instead?
