WoW Classic: You can only get these rare items when fishing

In , passionate anglers can pull many fun and cool items out of the water. We’ll tell you what treasures are waiting for you in the waters of Azeroth and how to get them.

In World of Warcraft, fishing has always been one of the relaxing sideline activities that distract hardened war heroes from the dreary daily routine of battle – and it also offers a nice diversion in between in WoW Classic. If you want to sit back, relax and forget the worries of everyday life, just cast your fishing rod at one of the many waters of Azeroth and take in the surroundings. To make fishing worthwhile, however, persistent Nat Pagles can pull some glittering treasures out of the water in addition to fish.

WoW Classic – Fishing: Fish for the Offhand
In addition to various ready-to-eat fish that you can cook or otherwise usefully process, special fish also await your fishing rod in the waters of Azeroth, which you can carry in your offhand for decorative purposes:

12-pound mud snapper
32-pound catfish
42-pound redgill
85-pound power fish
29-pound salmon
103-pound power fish
WoW Classic – Fishing – boxes and crates
If you cast your fishing rod in WoW (buy now) Classic, sooner or later you’ll have not only fish on your hook, but also all sorts of junk. You’d think that entire fleets regularly get shipwrecked off the coast of Azeroth – so many crates and boxes apparently wash up there.

Normal fishing in a body of water will occasionally yield one of four different types of crates:

Dented Crate (level 15), contains coarse blasting powder , a handful of copper bolts , copper pipes or copper modulators.
Soaked crate (level 25), contains heavy blasting powder , coarse blasting powder , bronze pipe , copper modulator or bronze scaffold and very rarely hammer of vesper
Sealed crate (level 35), contains heavy blasting powder, iron strut, bronze scaffold or gyrochron atom
Heavy crate (level 45), contains solid blasting powder, mithril casing, refined mithril cylinder, or goblin fuel
If you fish floating wreckage instead, you will sometimes receive one of four crates:

WoW Classic – Fishing: Special Treasures
If you are particularly persistent in fishing in Azeroth, you can even pull particularly rare items from the water:

The One Ring – This ring stands out more as a fun gimmick than as a real, useful item. The drop chance is terrible, so it may take you a long time to get your hands on this finger jewelry.
Steel Scale Breaker : This fish can actually be used as a , unlike the hand fish mentioned earlier. So give your opponents a good beating with your new mace. Note, however, that you must have reached at least a fishing skill of 55 points (better: 150 points) to be able to find the Steel Scale Breaker.
WoW Classic – Fishing: Treasures from shoals of fish
While you can fish various suitcases from the wreck of the ship, with a bit of luck you will receive another fish club and three special fish from the schools of fish that can be found everywhere in Azeroth, which you can exchange for useful fishing items during special quests:

Rock Niche Sea Bass
Brownell’s Blue-Striped Darter : Quest Special Fish – Brownell’s Blue-striped Darter (Reward: Nat Pagle’s Extreme Fishing Boots )
