On November 12th, the layers will be removed and the honor system will give PvP players even more reasons to hunt down players from the opposing faction. We’ll show you which special items you can use to win the duels on the classic servers.
Game Director Ion Hazzikostas kept his promise: Phase 2 of WoW Classic starts on November 12th (buy now) . With this major update, not only is layering going away, but the honor system and world bosses have also been introduced. All hell broke loose on PvP servers now, as anything that earns even the slightest amount of honor or tries to help your party with the world bosses is fair game.
These items will help you in PvP
Those who are attacked out of the blue at level 60 usually have poor chances, but a rare proc or special item can turn the tide in your favor. There are a lot of these items. They are sometimes so strong that they are banned from dueling tournaments. Below we show you the most important Classic PvP items that can make the difference in Classic PvP.
Tidal
Charm This trinket’s use effect stuns the enemy target for 3 seconds (30 yd range, 15 minute cooldown). Except for rogues and retribution paladins, this is a powerful effect. The Tidal Charm drops from Prince Nazjak in the Arathi Highlands at coordinates 23/87. However, the respawn time of this NPC is very high and the drop is not guaranteed.
Skull of Impending Doom
The skull increases your run speed by 60 percent for ten seconds per use effect, but it also does 100 to 500 points of damage every two seconds and you lose 100 to 500 points of mana. Because you suffer damage yourself, effects such as transformation, frost trap, blind are broken, which gives you a massive advantage in a duel. You can get the skull from theForbidden Knowledge quest.
Furbolg Medicine Pouch
This off-hand item restores 100 health every second for 10 seconds. The effect has a 20-minute cooldown and, thanks to the current patch level, doesn’t share a cooldown with potions or healthstones. This item is sold by the Furbolg Gorn One-Eye in Felwood (65/2).
Lashroot
Tubers This consumable restores 700 to 900 points of health, but does not share a cooldown with healing potions. In order to be able to collect the tubers, however, you must first complete the quest “Cleaning the Felwood” in Felwood. You will then find the tubers scattered throughout Felwood. The respawn time is high, but the additional healing effect is extremely worth it.
Barov’s Servant’s Bell
This trinket will summon three NPCs to fight for you. This not only causes some extra damage and confusion for the opponent, but above all forces magic classes to somehow get a grip on the three servants, since the automatic attacks of the NPCs cause a heavy magic recoil. You can get the item via the quest The Last Barov in the main bases of the Western Plaguelands.
Loofah
Loofah is a trinket that removes a bleeding effect every three minutes with the push of a button. This is a very useful item, especially in villain duels, for example if you want to get back into stealth without a DoT. The trinket is for the quest”Incendosaurus? What-ever-dinosaur?” at Thorium Point (Searing Gorge).
Magic Dust
This use item has a low chance of dropping from dust devils in Westfall. The dust has a low chance of putting the enemy target to sleep for up to 30 seconds. In a duel, this gives you either the opportunity to heal up with bandages and food in between, or to disable an opponent’s pet.
Grand Master of the Arena
For this trinket you have to grab the loot from the crate in the Stranglethorn arena twelve times. The crate appears every three hours at 3 am, 6 am, 9 am and 12 noon. It’s not that easy, but it rewards you with a very strong defensive gem that increases your dodge chance by one percent and gives you a shield for 20 seconds at the push of a button that absorbs 750 to 1,250 damage (30 minute cooldown).
Linken’s Boomerang
Linken’s Boomerang is a trinket that is obtained by completing a long questline that starts at coordinates 63/68 in Un’Goro Crater. The trinket has a use effect that deals some damage to the enemy and has a chance to either stun or disarm them for 3 seconds.
Spider Belt
The use effect of this cloth belt makes you immune to immobilize effects for 5 seconds. For example, if you use the belt as a melee fighter before a duel with a mage, you are unstoppable for the first few seconds. After that, you still have the option to use Potion of Free Action. Spider Belt is made by Tailors.
Ramstein’s Lightning Bolt
This gem is primarily geared towards the open PvP Zerg. When activated, you unleash a bolt of lightning that deals 200 points of Nature damage to all enemies around you. You get it from the boss of the same name in Stratholme. In the mass zag, however, one item is the measure of all things – the Sapper Charge.
