WoW Classic: Phase 4 turns Silithus inside out – that’s what awaits you

With the start of content phase 4 of , not only the 20-player raid Zul’Gurub and the emerald dragons come to the live server, the update also turns the dusty zone Silithus upside down – including new quests and rewards. We’ll tell you what “The Awakening of the Silithids” means for you.

Maybe you’ve already read it: When content phase 4 of WoW Classic begins on Thursday, April 10, we’ll not only be able to challenge the Emerald Dragons and the bosses in the 20-player raid Zul’Gurub, but things will also change in the dusty zone of Silithus.

As for the latter new features, the announcement from the official patch notes of Patch 1.8 reads as follows:

The Awakening of the Silithids
The burning desert of Silithus is stirring. Something ancient is awakening behind the southern wall…. The Cenarion Circle has sent its druids to explore the secrets of the desert. Will you join them on their dangerous expedition? Discover the eerie world of the Silithids as you venture deeper into the hives of these alien beings. Many new high-level challenges await you!

But what does that mean in concrete terms? We’ll tell you!

Silithus in Classic Phase 4: New faction, new quests

With the changes in Silithus, Blizzard’s developers are already preparing what awaits us in Phase 5: the opening Ahn’Qiraj, which will give us access to the Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj and the Temple of Ahn’Qiraj. Closely related to the two raid challenges is the Cenarion Circle faction, which will play a much bigger role as early as Phase 4.

The Circle’s main base is Cenarion Hold in the northern center of Silithus. Just follow the road and you can’t miss the headquarters of the druid community. Before phase 4, visiting the castle was really only worth it to unlock the local flying point. From phase 4 onwards, you can accept quests there, the completion of which will increase your reputation with the coven, unlocking all sorts of rewards.

How to increase your reputation with the Circle of Cenarius

The Coven does not like cultists in Silithus, so you will gain reputation up to “Earned” for defeating Twilight Avengers, Twilight Geolords, Twilight Stone Callers, Twilight Flame Eaters, Twilight Masters, and Twilight Overlords. Only defeated Twilight Flame Saviors earn one reputation point each from “Earned” – all the way up to “Revered.” You can find the cultists in their camps in the southwest, northwest, center, and northeast of Silithus.

Defeated cultists can drop the item Encrypted Text of Twilight, you must obtain ten of these messages for the Secret Messages quest. This unlocks the repeatable quest Encrypted Hammer Texts of Twilight, each of which promises 100 reputation with the Coven. Tip: It’s best not to turn in the texts until you’re honored, as most enemies in the zone won’t grant reputation points after that point.

The special summons in Silithus
The cultists can also drop the three pieces of the Twilightzierat set :

Twilight Cultist Cloak
Twilight Cultist’s Cowl
Twilight Cultist Robe
With these three items in your luggage, you can summon special elemental opponents, which are divided into different tiers:

Tier 1: Templar (requires Twilight Adornment to summon )
Tier 2: Lords (requires the Twilight Adornment plus Twilight Cultist Medallion of Station to summon )
Tier 3: Royals (requires the Twilight Adornment plus Twilight Cultist Medallion of Station plus Twilight Cultist Ring of Dominion to summon )
ATTENTION: With each summoning, the Twilight adornment is destroyed. Since the three set parts are not soulbound, you can also buy them in the auction house. The summoning itself takes place on Wind Stones, which have a three-hour cooldown. There are Lesser Wind Stones (Tier 1 Summon), Wind Stones (Tier 2 Summon), and Greater Wind Stones (Tier 3 Summon).

The higher the tier, the larger your group should be, for the tier 3 opponents you even need a raid of 20+ players. At the same time, the quality of the possible loot increases.

Tier 1 enemies can drop rare weapons including Amethyst Warstaff or Crystal Stiletto .
Tier 2 enemies can drop rare weapons and armor pieces, including Sparkling Crystal Wand , Abyssal Plate Greaves , and Darkstone Claymore .
Tier 3 enemies can also drop one Epic piece each, in addition to rare rewards: Windshear Cape (dropped by High Marshal Whirlaxis), Earthen Guard (Baron Kazum), Elemental Focus Band (Prince Skaldrenox), and Wavefront Necklace (Lord Skwol)
In addition, the elemental items that you need for certain quests drop:

Tier 1 Enemy: Abyssal Crest (required for quests as well as crafting Twilight Cultist Medallion )
Tier 2 Enemy: Abyssal Seal (required for quests as well as crafting Twilight Cultist Ring of Dominance )
Tier 3 Enemies: Abyssal Scepter (required for the quests Abyssal Scepters , A Humble Offering , and Scepter of the Council )
