WoW Classic Guide – The Dungeon aka Stockades

The music played on the servers is slightly different from that on the live servers when it comes to the dungeons. For example, the layout of the dungeon in Stormwind has not changed, but the cast of bosses has! We’ll give you a that tells you about the bosses and the quests!

In WoW (buy now) Classic, the clock ticks a little differently than on the live servers, and usually much, much slower. You’ll notice this especially when you visit a dungeon that you don’t have to hopelessly overlevel and equip. One of the dungeons that should take less time even on the Classic servers is the dungeon in Stormwind – the Stockades, as they are called in English. The dungeon in the heart of Stormwind is not exclusive to Alliance players, but it is difficult to access for members of the Horde and does not offer any quests. Below we offer you a handy guide with the most important information and an overview of the available quests.

WoW Guide: The Dungeon aka Stockades
The dungeon is suitable for heroes of levels 24 to 30 and is located in the heart of Stormwind, the capital of the Alliance in the Eastern Kingdoms. There are five bosses in the instance and if you are lucky, a rare boss will appear. There are a total of six quests for Alliance heroes, while Horde members go empty-handed.

The dungeon of Stormwind is the prison of the human capital. Fortunately, the inmates are rogues rather than supervillains, so a visit rarely involves much trouble or wipe. However, Alliance players should stock up on plenty of quests beforehand, while Horde players should be prepared not only for a long journey, but also for a lot of beatings from Stormwind’s guards. It’s not really worth it, though. Even alliance members only visit the dungeon for the quests. The loot is lousy, also because the dungeon was not designed as an instance. Only the yield of wool and silk cloth and the silver pieces from the many humanoid enemies could be attractive.

Left, right, straight ahead
The layout of the dungeon can be a bit confusing at first, but it’s actually quite simple. After a short stretch straight ahead, you go right once, left once, and straight ahead is another room. All paths are also lined on both sides with cell blocks, where various trash mobs are waiting. You can usually ignore them unless you want the XP or need red wool headgear for the quests. The first boss of the dungeon is Targorr the Terrible, who has no fixed position in the instance. He can be in different cell blocks, so you should always keep your eyes open. The orc deals a lot of damage to the tank with his two weapons, which can make healers sweat quickly. But the orc doesn’t have any special loot.

Right area
On the east side of the dungeon, in one of the left cell blocks, is the dwarf Kam Deepfury. He is a tank warrior. He occasionally stuns his target for a short time and can also block melee attacks, sometimes making the fight very drawn out. He also doesn’t offer you any special loot.

At the end of the eastern area waits the ogre Hamock. He is especially dangerous for melee-heavy groups, as he throws around a CHAIN FLASH. He jumps on close targets and causes high damage. Ranged fighters should therefore spread out generously. Since you can usually only attack him together with other bandits, you should make sure they don’t get any other groups on the run, which humanoid enemies will all do at some point. Otherwise, there will soon be a shift in the shaft. In the worst case scenario, the Adds will even catch the boss Bazil Thredd, who is located in the farthest room on the east side. The mixture of rogue and warrior will give you a good hard time. Kill all the Adds quickly before he CALLS FIGHT and they knock your tank out of its boots. Healers also keep health high at all times, as Bazil likes to stun players with smoke bombs. A lot can happen in those four seconds if someone isn’t healed or the tank can’t block, dodge or parry.

left area
Two more bosses await you on the other side. At the very end is Dextren Ward, who will also attack you with warrior skills and is probably the hardest boss in the dungeon. This is primarily due to DROHRUF, with which he lets all players flee wildly. Therefore, you should clear the area around it as generously as possible beforehand. Once you have done that, Dextren Ward loses his terror and can easily be defeated by you. The second boss that is on the left side of the dungeon is Bruegel Ironfist. However, he is not to be found on every visit. Count yourself lucky when he’s there. Because the dwarf is not only the simplest boss of the instance, since he has absolutely no special abilities, but also the one with the best loot in his pocket.
