WoW Classic: Earn gold with the Zul’Gurub release – that’s how it works

Sometime in April, the fourth content phase in will begin, and you can take advantage of the release of the 20-player Zul’Gurub raid to earn some gold. We will tell you exactly how in this article.

There is no exact date yet, but it won’t be long until the four green dragons Emeriss, Lethon, Taerar and Ysondre as well as the 20-player troll raid Zul’Gurub land on the WoW Classic live servers. Content Phase 4 is scheduled to launch in April.

The new challenges are not only interesting for all Azeroth heroes who have a desire for new bosses and epic loot. All gold collectors will also get their money’s worth with phase 4. With Zul’Gurub, the Bloodvine Robe comes into play. While this new gear set only has rare (blue) quality, it is a worthwhile upgrade for many well-equipped raid mages thanks to the noticeable increase in spell hit chance.

The craftable set consists of three parts:

Bloodvine Vest
Bloodvine Leggings
Bloodvine Boots
The materials needed to craft the three pieces are as follows:

10 x Mooncloth
12 x Bloodvine
8 x Mighty Mojo
12 x Runecloth Bars
8 x Ironweaver Silk
4 x Enchanted Leather
Pretty much every wizard, but also other magic classes will want to get these materials – if possible or if not already done – in the next days and weeks or at the latest after the release of Zul’Gurub. If you want to earn or save as much gold as possible, you should get moon cloth early. Since production of the stuff is in a four-day cooling off period, the demand for moon cloth right after Zul’Gurub’s release could be higher than the supply. We have been seeing a steady increase in auction house prices for some time now. Other commodities that can already be farmed, such as Ironweaver Silk and Powerful Mojo, will certainly sell well in the Auction House, though not for as much gold.

Zul’Gurub as a new grind port
Blood Robe recipes (and other crafted items) are closely tied to the reputation you can build in Zul’Gurub. Likewise, players need reputation if they want to gain access to the new super-powerful enchantments or class sets. Reputation can be increased with blue and green tokens, among other things, which can be dropped by enemies in the raid. In fact, it’s possible to farm certain trash groups over and over again, solo or in small groups, to collect as many of these tokens as possible and then turn them into gold in the auction house.

This new grind promises so much gold, especially in the early days, that ambitious gold farmers have been searching for perfect routes and on the public Classic test server for quite some time. One particularly popular grind focuses on the crocodile groups near the waters.

Of course, if you have a small group, you can also expand the farm round and search the hoodoo piles for blood scythes, so from now on you can find the aforementioned blood tendrils in the herbs of the raid. These are also worth a few gold pieces in the auction house at the beginning. By the way, as long as you don’t defeat a boss and get such an ID, Zul’Gurub can be reset at any time – just like a normal dungeon. Have fun farming!

What is WoW Classic?

World of Classic is a true recreation of the original WoW as you know it from 2006. All parts of the game – from combat mechanics and talent trees to character models and zones – have been recreated, contributing to the authentic experience.

Getting Started

All players with an active World of Warcraft subscription or game time on their accounts have access toWoW Classic at no additional cost.
