WoW Classic: Azshara – Eternal autumn and pure tranquility

While we’re waiting for the final stress test and finally the launch of , this weekend we’ll show you archive pictures from Azshara, which with its level range 45-55 was also not playable solo in the beta. Enjoy the beautiful zone that looked completely different before the cataclysm!

In the current content patch 8.2 of the World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth expansion , after many years and expansions, we finally face Azshara in the “The Eternal Palace” raid.opposite to. The night elf beauty, who involuntarily became the monstrous queen of the naga, has an entire zone on the continent of Kalimdor dedicated to it, which – in the classic, pre-cataclysm version – is reminiscent of the bygone, fateful times. Before the War of the Ancients and the Great Sundering, this tract of land was part of the night elf metropolis of Zin’Azshari, the other remains of which you can find in Nazjatar today. Then came the demons of the Burning Legion and with them the disastrous division of the world into multiple continents. Large land masses including the capital were pulled into the depths of the sea and Azshara finally cursed to an existence as queen of the naga. On land, all that remained of the night elves’ capital city were ruins, which gradually turned into coral reefs.

In World of Warcraft Classic, Azshara is an elegiac but beautiful autumnal zone. It is home to powerful elite stone giants, satyrs, and naga who roam the remnants of the night elf civilization of yesteryear. Azshara is known, among other things, for the vast amounts of magic substance that can be obtained from the spirits in the ruins, or the valuable dream leaves that herbalists can find here. If you have earned friendly reputation with the Timbermaw furbolgs in Felwood, you can also loot their regularly appearing crates in the furbolg camps without a fight and dust off lots of good items, recipes and gems. Azshara is also unforgotten because of world boss Azuregos , the first “preview” of the blood elves and theFaction of the Hydraxians , elemental beings living on the islands in the east of the zone, which among other things provide essential rune clearing quests in the Molten Core raid.

In the gallery below you will find images from 2005 and 2006 showing Azshara in its pristine glory before the goblins in Cataclysm “blighted” the area with digs and roads. At the end you can see the Hydraxian quests that were removed with Cataclysm . When comes out in August, you’ll be able to enjoy the original Azshara again and you’ll find out one thing, among other things: sometimes less is more!
