WoW: Classes changing from Classic to Legion – when was your prime time?

Do you ever think back to how much you enjoyed playing your favorite class in World of Warcraft during the Classic era or any of the subsequent expansions? When was your personal heyday? What things do you miss from your heroes today? Or has everything changed for the better?

Maybe you read my World of Warcraft special back then: Blizzard’s Biggest Balancing Missteps in WoW . If so, you know that I had a lot of fun with my rogue in Classic WoW. Sending heavily armed opponents naked to the boards in the so-called stun lock without even landing a hit … that was something.

And how much fun I had with my raid gear on the battlefields. With animal clothing and epic daggers, even the opening of the fight was deadly for many enemies. Then there were specialties like stealth, poisons, the various materials like dazzle powder that you needed for some , or lockpicking, which was much more useful back then than it is today.

Now I don’t want to swing the “everything was better back then” club, EVERYTHING was by no means better back then – as some of my memories of Classic WoW show. Still, for me, the villain has gone from bad to worse over the years. Visually, by the way, there are also reasons why I only allow pet sets from the Classic and TBC era onto the skin of my undead.

WoW: Classes changing from Classic to Legion - when was your prime time?

I still enjoy the Daggerslinger, but my personal “Prime” where my favorite class made me happiest is long gone. Do you feel the same way? Do you also miss some things about your favorite that have been lost over the years? Or are you happy with the way your class has evolved?

What is ?

is a true recreation of the original WoW as you know it from 2006. All parts of the game – from combat mechanics and talent trees to character models and zones – have been recreated, contributing to the authentic experience.
