Blizzard developers have announced that there will soon be new transfer options for WoW: Burning Crusade Classic. It is particularly exciting that the PvP restrictions are to be lifted.

A little over two weeks ago, the Blizzard developers had announced their intention to take some sparsely populated WoW: Burning Crusade Classic servers offline on August 10, 2022. Here the List of servers that will be killed on that day. All player characters remaining on these realms will be automatically transferred to a new target realm.

Blizzard announces new transfer options

A few days ago there was already a first updatein which we learned concrete information about the implementation of the server mergers. Even then, Blizzard advertised the possibility of finding a new home in advance via the existing character transfer services. And for those transfer services, Blizzard now delivered another piece of news:

“In the coming weeks, we will be lifting the restrictions on transfers from normal to PvP realms in Burning Crusade Classic. At that time, we will also make available more free character transfers from underpopulated normal realms where appropriate. Additionally, we are lifting the rule for Burning Crusade Classic PvP realms that players can only have characters from one faction on the server. Once we’re ready to put these plans into action, we’ll confirm all the details.”

Remember the restart servers!

Alternatively, with the pre-patch phase of Wrath of the Lich King Classic, you can also access completely new servers with freshly created level 1 characters dare a new start. The advantages are obvious:

• Everyone starts from scratch. Everyone enters the new continent with equipment from the level phase. The economy can develop slowly. No one can pay for things like epic flying out of petty cash, which is already very well filled.
• The new content feels more challenging at the beginning because you don’t have access to the BiS items from the last endgame phase.
• The faction balance can unfold anew on all servers.
• Players will only gradually hit the new continent, which will have a noticeably positive effect on the level experience in the new zones.
