WoW Burning Crusade Classic: The hottest phases are yet to come!

Black Temple, Mount Hyjal, Zul’Aman and Isle of Quel’Danas: The hottest challenges of WoW: Burning Crusade Classic are yet to come! That’s why our old-school WoW fan Karsten doesn’t want to give up his TBC-Classic kicks just yet, even though there’s hardly any reason to log in at the moment.

As you may have noticed, my TBC Classic guild broke up a while ago and I’m hardly online these days. But there are other reasons for the latter. Little Fabian was born recently and has of course been keeping us busy ever since. With New World and Diablo 2 Resurrected, two time wasters have recently appeared that wanted to be played extensively. I’m currently trying out Lost Ark for the first time, which will soon enter closed beta . And with Deadlands for The Elder Scrolls Online and Endwalker for Final Fantasy 14, two of my favorite WoW alternatives are getting new content soon.

So recently a good buddy asked me, “Why don’t you use the guild crash to put an end to TBC Classic? You already mastered TBC back then. Then you’ll have more time for all the other stuff and you’ll feel even better more excited when Blizzard announces WotLK Classic.”

And indeed, as far as nostalgia goes, I’ve already ticked off a lot of important items from my list of nostalgic memories of TBC :

the opening of the Dark Portal
moving from tier 3 set to basic quest rewards (although my rogue was still wearing parts of the set at 70)
the crisp level of difficulty , which can also pose problems for guilds from 2021 in phase 2
the wonderful attunement quest , which can be just as annoying from Twink No. X (the threshold is certainly different for every player) then as now
flying in Outland
the visit of Karazhan
But I have to say: That was just the beginning! The hottest challenges of WoW (buy now) : Burning Crusade Classic is still to come – so giving up is not an option for me yet.

The highlights of the upcoming stages of TBC Classic
There is some content in the next TBC Classic stages that I’m really looking forward to:

Simply epic: the Black Temple
For me, the Black Temple plays at a comparable high level as Naxxramas in terms of the epic dimensions of the raid instance, the design and the atmosphere. Nine bosses await us, including highlights such as the Reliquary of Souls, the Illidari Council, and Illidan Stormrage. We fight our way through the sewers, across the temple courtyard and through a colorful harem. The rewards include pieces of some of the finest tier armor sets Blizzard has ever designed and the legendary Warglaives. My villain would love to earn these, but unfortunately that didn’t work out at the time…

Unique Fan Trip: Battle for Mount Hyjal

For me as an old 3 fan, the battle for Mount Hyjal was always a kind of fan service: We can be there up close when the peoples of humans, orcs and co. fight back the waves of undead. Cool! At the time, I only found the fight against Archimonde annoying in the raid instance, because a single death there can quickly cause a wipe due to the subsequent chain reaction (and there are a few unexpected ways to bless the dead). The atmosphere, the rewards are right for that, and such a raid was never designed again later.

Better than Zul’Gurub: Zul’Aman
The vanilla-era troll raid Zul’Gurub was already a fine thing. Zul’Aman got even more right in TBC from my point of view. The bosses played wonderfully varied, the loot was sometimes really good and thanks to the timed run option and war bear reward, the long-term motivation factor was also right. It’s a shame that Blizzard has done without such raid snacks in the recent past.

The Island of Quel’Danas
While the last quest hubs that came into play around the Ogri’la and Sha’tari Skyguard left me pretty cold at the time, I’m looking forward to the island of Quel’Danas that we’ll be able to unsettle in the final phase. To quote my memory from back then:

“As much as I enjoyed the opening event of Ahn’Qiraj, it was a shame that large parts of the quest line eluded many players. I liked the gradual conquest of Quel’danas Island in TBC even better. From the landing in Sun’s Reach, we gradually recaptured the city of Morning Star to open up new areas within Sun’s Reach.

Thanks to the different reward levels, this was motivating even if you weren’t in the Sunwell with your raid yet, and also provided a nice “us versus Kil’Jaeden” feeling. And since there were constant PvP battles with the other faction, daily work in the zone didn’t feel like work, at least to me.”

Speaking of rewards.

New Epics for Badges of Justice
Are you one of those players who still have some unused Badges of Justice? Very good! After all, numerous new items are coming into play in the next phases, some of which cost up to 150 badges and are great alternatives to the previous raid loot. This will certainly lure some players (myself included) back into the dungeons and older raid instances more often. You can read about which items are coming in detail here:

What’s Up: Are you also looking forward to the upcoming stages of TBC Classic or are you completely done with the chapter? Let us know in the comments!

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade

Burning Crusade has the maximum level in WoW at 70 and brings 2 new playable races (Draenei& Blood Elves). In addition, there is a new continent: The Sheol

The Burning Crusade is the first expansion for the successful MMORPG World of Warcraft (WoW) from the developer studio Blizzard. The add-on introduces a new continent called Outland. There are also new races. The Blood Elves for the Horde and the Draenei for the Alliance. The classes Paladin and Shaman are now also playable for both factions. Furthermore, the expansion brings an increase in the level limit from 60 to 70 as well as flying mounts.

World of Warcraft (WoW)

The online role-playing game World of Warcraft (WoW) was released in Europe in 2005 and is an MMO with a subscription payment model. In WoW, players can complete tasks with their characters to improve their hero and meet like-minded players. There are thirteen different races to choose from when selecting a character – six of which belong to only one faction each – as well as eleven classes. In World of Warcraft, players have the opportunity to join the Horde or the Alliance, complete missions and quests with their character in the rich world, and adventure with other heroes in instanced areas for five, ten, and even 25 players. In addition, characters can take up professions, collect pets and mounts, compete against opposing players in battlegrounds and arenas, or simply unwind in the main cities and chat with their guildmates. Guides, news, videos, screenshots, reports and more about World of Warcraft and The Burning Crusade are collected on our topic pages.
