The player “WeloBk” has single-handedly achieved 47 solo kills in Call of Duty: Warzone and thus set a new world record. And that was shortly after the new map “Fortune’s Keep” was launched.
The map “Fortune’s Keep” was released on June 22. On June 27, the video went online on YouTube, in which WeloBk took the world record. Interestingly, WeloBk managed to set the record single-handedly. He played “Solo versus Quads” and thus alone against players who acted in teams of four. In the game mode on Fortune’s Keep a total of 40 players compete against each other and the “killed” players can respawn after a certain time as long as a team member is alive. This way you can get more kills than the actual number of players participating in the match. Many streamers and CoD pros specifically pick the mode in their videos to face the biggest challenge and prove their skills.
How WeloBk got the world record
Who is WeloBk? WeloBk uploads videos to Twitch and YouTube. His Twitch channel has 5,844 followers and his YouTube channel has about 1,860 subscribers. (as of 06/28/2022, via Twitch and YouTube).
What happens in WeloBk’s video? After a short greeting, the gameplay starts right away. Highly concentrated, the YouTuber begins his kill series and takes out one player after the other. In the end, he broke the world record with 47 kills. Just a few hours earlier, NoFaTe had set the world record with 44 kills in the “Fortune’s Keep” map. WeloBk was visibly pleased. Several times he said “Oh my God!” and emphasized that he was convinced that he would make the world record that day.
What do his viewers say about it? Under WeloBks YouTube video, viewers are begrudging him his success: for example, BO Clark commented, “W Welo!!! Great job.” “Let’s go weloo” commented user tld. (via youtube.com). WeloBks knew he was working on a record, after all. But sometimes it happens when you don’t even intend to break a world record. This is what happened to top player Aydan in CoD Warzone.
Why is the world record so impressive? WeloBk played alone against several four-man teams, which could coordinate and split up. This increased the difficulty of setting the world record and made it harder to win.
