FIFA 23 innovations: Crossplay mode connects multiple platforms

Crossplay in FIFA 23: This innovation should please most FIFA players. EA listens to its community and implements the long-awaited crossplay feature in FIFA 23. This allows the Last Gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One to compete against each other, and the Current Gen consoles PS5, Xbox Series X, PC and Google Stadia. Electronic Arts has also revealed how crossplay works in FIFA 23.

FIFA 23: Gameplay innovations – New free-kick, corner and penalty mechanics.

Gameplay innovations in FIFA 23In terms of gameplay, EA has already revealed some innovations in the Reveal Trailer of FIFA 23. What immediately catches the eye is the new HUD for standard situations. So you have to place in FIFA 23 at corners, free kicks and Co. a crosshair on the ball so that it is shot as desired.

Also new are the so-called “Powershots”. The powerful shots are completions, which are triggered by pressing the front triggers in parallel, on the Playstation L1 + R1. The important thing here is to aim accurately. The powerful shots can also quickly fly towards the corner flag. This FIFA 23 innovation should complement the Timed-Finished shots.

FIFA 23: Two World Cup modes and licensing of the women’s leagues

Two world cup modes: FIFA 23 benefits from two special events. For example, not only will the Men’s World Cup be held in Qatar in November 2022, but also the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in July 2023. EA announced in the Reveal trailer that they will release a separate mode in FIFA 23 for both tournaments. However, the World Cup is not the only innovation in terms of women’s soccer.

For example, the Barclays FA Women’s Super League and Division 1 Arkema will be playable in FIFA 23 for the first time. This innovation underlines EA’s focus on women’s soccer in FIFA 23. For example, the cover of the Edition will feature Chelsea player Sam Kerr alongside Kylian Mbappé. In which way the new women’s leagues will be implemented in FIFA 23 is not yet known.
